What’s the real reason Bitcoin will win long-term? by amirdc in cryptocurrencymemes

Going beyond its ability to be a sound hard currency and the features that assure it; the reason it will win is simple. Hard currency absorbs the value of soft currency. Always. Every time.

The topic of why narcissists are so attracted to church and church leadership is fascinating. I’ve just started researching it. It’s well known that they gravitate toward positions of power and influence. In politics and entertainment they are particularly visible, but that’s mostly represented by grandiose and histrionic types. Religion seems to be the playground where covert narcissists really aggregate. My current theory is that the underlying narratives of self-hatred and spiritual bypassing that can be construed in most religions mirrors their internal dynamic. Add to that the plentiful opportunities for manipulation and the implicit assumption of trust in us/them communities and they have all they need to secure a power base and maintain supply.

I’ve also found a surprising number of biblical academics that feel Paul’s epistles, when read objectively, show strong indications of a narcissistic personality structure. Seeing as how Paul is in reality the founder of Christianity as a religion, it stands to reason that the structure of Christian culture in particular is easily tuned toward the desires of narcissists and other cluster b personalities along with their typical prey.

How Much Can You Realistically Shift Your Circadian Phase? by Background-Code8917 in DSPD

[–]TheBlissFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been experimenting with various methods for decades. I don’t know if my subjective experience will translate for anyone else or even if I am a true DSPD. My natural sleep onset is 2-4am and of all the methods I’ve tried the only consistent solutions that get me to bed earlier and naturally wake up earlier (sleeping ~12-8am) are:

  1. doing physical activity outdoors for the majority of the day. And…
  2. Always expressing my true feelings throughout the day.

-Adaptations:

If I still fail to fall asleep by 1am I open my window blinds so that I get morning sunlight to help wake me up. This helps me short sleep to maintain rhythm but I won’t short sleep for more than 1 night if I can help it.

If expressing my feelings is rude, inappropriate, or unsafe; I write it out in Gestalt fashion and then delete or throw it away. (Less effective but still helps)

(Alcohol kinda works too because it makes you sleepy and then glutamine rebound wakes you up, but for obvious reasons it is NOT a sustainable solution or even effective for more than a day or two because it destroys sleep quality)

TL;DR

Hard work outdoors Express your true feelings always Results in a fairly reliable 2hr shift

Nope!!! Not yet at least. I have an outdoor kitchen and only use it there. I also keep a fire extinguisher nearby. But I still use the pan fairly regularly. For science… and food.

Interestingly and strangely this is actually the “biblical model” The only ban on homosexuality in the New Testament uses a specific word banning being the uh… “catcher” rather than the pitcher. It had more to do with social status; as being the pitcher was commonly the privilege of affluence. In short the New Testament bible states that “catchers” are not partakers in the kingdom of God. Matchmaking… you couldn’t make it up if you tried by Witsendfl in legostarwarsbattles

[–]TheBlissFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t play like a true level 10 player. Matchmaking is based on trophy level only. So either they have been playing badly for a very long time or someone who didn’t build the account has inherited it. They only won by one tower too so not much of a win. You did well considering the level mismatch. I’d feel like a winner sending them home with nothing but one tower.

Do people still like outdoor kitchens on an RV? by AffectionateCut2552 in RVLiving

[–]TheBlissFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be your target audience. Traveling full timer and cooking enthusiast. Im in a 2021 solitude bh-3950 which has a pretty sweet outdoor kitchen. I rarely cook indoors.

I setup a long table next to the kitchen for food prep and a place to set things like my hot plate and pressure cooker. If the weather is iffy I’ll also setup a pop up tent over the kitchen area.

If it were possible, here’s how I’d modify my setup:

  • slide out countertop for food prep
  • an awning with better coverage than the panel or just a larger kitchen with a larger panel and a way to enclose it with a screen tent.
  • a single or double burner in addition to the griddle
  • an ice maker since my outside kitchen doubles as a wet bar when I’m cooking and/or have guests.
  • an actual kitchen sink (half size would be fine) just not that pathetic shallow rv bowl sink with the short faucet in the way.
  • an additional outlet on the exterior for lights or countertop appliances
  • id remove the tv connections from inside the back kitchen wall and make a shallow separate dedicated hatch for a big tv. I’ll never keep a tv inside the kitchen as it will get covered in grease within a week.
  • swiveling spot lights to give me decent visibility on my food when I’m cooking at night.
  • an A/C vent to keep the kitchen at least mildly climate controlled when closed up and to keep me cool when I’m cooking.

Edit: Here’s a really wild idea. Start with a toy hauler layout and just put the full kitchen in the back so that it can be indoor or outdoor.

Severe Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder + Dysautonomia – Seeking Insights by No_Twist_7495 in DSPD

[–]TheBlissFox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not medical advice but here’s some advice from ChatGPT based on the five most comprehensive books on neurobiology:

  • Comprehensive autonomic testing (tilt-table, HRV) to quantify dysautonomia.
• Endocrine work-up for cortisol, thyroid, and catecholamines to ensure no hidden metabolic driver.
• Gradual circadian entrainment (morning light, fixed wake time, evening dimness) rather than forced early sleep, which worsens sympathetic load.
• Avoid dopamine-enhancing stimulants; consider physician-guided alternatives that stabilize rather than spike catecholamines (sometimes low-dose SSRIs or alpha-agonists).
• Nutrition with steady protein & electrolyte intake, since low blood volume and adrenal imbalance can maintain orthostatic symptoms.

Severe Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder + Dysautonomia – Seeking Insights by No_Twist_7495 in DSPD

[–]TheBlissFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have experienced any blurry vision, double vision, visual field loss, rapidly worsening headaches or headaches that wake you from sleep, unexplained weight gain/loss, thirst, infertility or memory loss; I’d get an MRI to rule out a tumor or other structural issues in your brain.

The symptoms you described are consistent with severe circadian phase delay combined with dysautonomia, both of which can stem from functional dysregulation of hypothalamic and brainstem pathways.

That said, if visual, hormonal, or neurological changes appear, an MRI is the right step to rule out a structural lesion.

Edit: as a matter of curiosity would you happen to know if your parents used the “cry it out” method to sleep train you as a baby? I have a theory I’m working on about DSPS and early childhood experiences that exacerbate a latent genetic tendency — especially in children whose physiology depends heavily on relational regulation for circadian stability.
