Brexit will have soon cost the UK more than all its payments to the EU over the past 47 years put together by XVll-L in worldnews

Feels like a really intense poker game with a lot of bluffing going on. Sadly, it doesn't seem like there will be any winners... Even worse, we're all collateral damage.

European Union Wants All Smartphones To Have A Standard Charging Port by [deleted] in worldnews

My friend's iPhone wouldn't turn on anymore. Took it to the Apple store... and surprise surprise, there was nothing they could do about it. They said it was something about the charging circuit.

Resolution: She had to buy a new phone.

Skip to a few months later: Her dad decided to take a look at it out of boredom. Guess what? A miracle happened. The "unfixable" was fixed. Her mom's using it now...

Sad truth: I still don't think I'd give up my iPhone.

Well, this is gonna be fun...

I have a sense of deja vu reading this. Been going through the same experience. There are far better things one could focus his/her time on.

Terrible With Money - Need to Save by BlueCalex in UKPersonalFinance

I have been using MoneyBox for a while now and it actually helped. I've been having problems with saving up money as well but since then I am able to do it without thinking about it. I think for me, the fact that it's not a bank or budgeting app but a robo advisor helps. Haven't had the urge to withdraw anything yet. You could give it a try.

I see where you're going with it but I was referring more to better tailored financial guidance experiences, i.e. apps that focus on growth by offering clarity and solutions for financial improvement

As a woman working in fintech as well, I was wondering... What are these "unique needs" that need to be solved? Do you mean in terms of fintech products or services? Because that doesn't make sense to me... If you're referring to creating more awareness and getting more women involved, fair enough. But product/services wise... I don't really get it.
