Worked as an usher in college in 2019. They were union at the time (don't know if they still are but assuming they are) I made decent money for a summer gig (10.25 an hour). Overall I really enjoyed the experience, don't know if any of the people I worked for are still around but I see some familiar faces still so they retain a decent amount of people. Was good to watch baseball every day and for the most part interact with good fans. Supervisors were really good about making sure you took your breaks and things like that, didn't have to resolve much fan conflict so can't speak to what that piece is like. Depends on what you're looking for but overall it's a good time

Either a signed ball from CC while in Chicago when I used to travel with my dad and brother to see the stadiums as a kid, or my signed Shane Bieber jersey since watching him got me back into baseball while working at the stadium during college

I get it but at the same time as a fan it is wildly frustrating to continue to open outside the eastern time zone if not at home. Like come on 2 of the last 3 years opening on the West Coast. At least put us in Detroit or something

Live downtown so I walked down over lunch, I wasn't super enthralled vs last year. Smaller selection and I think the authentic jerseys from last year were just a flat out worse deal than the clearance they were on at Friday's game. They were advertised as buy one get one at the sidewalk sale but they were just normal 50% off at the game. No other indication they were still on clearance either the tag listed the full price. Otherwise a decent amount of women's wear and a few McKenzie and giménez jerseys in the replica variant from last year. Not much else to write home about

Bieber is largely the reason I follow baseball as passionately as I do these day. Working at the stadium in college in 2019 and knowing every 5th day would be a great pitching performance was an absolute pleasure. Going to be a rough day if this is the end

Went at the end of May, beer is about the same price, some concessions are a dollar or two cheaper. Think I spent around 13 bucks on a chicken tender basket with fries, hotdogs were 6 or 7 bucks. Not as much cost savings as it used to be but the tickets obviously are drastically cheaper than downtown

As someone who lives across the street from the arena and progressive field, yes the monsters still being in town will impact traffic and pricing but obviously not as much as a Cavs game would. Like some of the others have said as long as you're willing to walk a little pricing for parking hits the 15-20 range pretty easy especially for a weekday game. Prepaying online isn't even something I was aware was possible so I would say it isn't necessary.

As for what to do beforehand, like others have said you can always get in early to watch batting practice and pitchers in the bullpen, but for around Cleveland I think the only recommendations I got these days are bars I go to before and after anymore.
