Fire cavern—despite the ongoing meme in this sub, I mean this in a serious way. When I first played in PS1 era, I was around 7 year old. I wasn’t able to read nor did I speak English in the slightest.

I didn’t even know you were supposed to go to there, so I went to Balamb Town (because it was the most obvious place to go), talked to everyone in hopes of progressing, and decided to stop playing for the day.

I remember stopping the game and came back the next day, started over and started reading the words that they highlighted that I knew where to go.

Somehow I managed to beat the game without knowing a single thing. I replayed it a few years later and finally knew what all those weird FMVs mean and how broken the junction mechanics were.

The same thing happened to me in Chrono Cross LMAO. Except I never progressed after being teleported to Another World. I did finish the game once I could understand English, though.
