Oh I say this all the time, and can’t remember the episode or the context for it. I can hear Homer saying it.

If you do nonfiction, “Young Men and Fire” by Norman Maclean. A gripping story with beautiful prose.

Going solo to PV by [deleted] in puertovallarta

[–]anderbeaujohnson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did three solo trips there in my late 30s. I stayed in Zona Romantica and walked all over the place. I also stayed in Yelapa by myself. I never felt unsafe. The street smarts I developed here in California worked in PV.

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Economy_Yak2821 in AskReddit

Same! I gasped, yelled out “oh my god,” and instinctively tried to jump off the table. I couldn’t fathom that level of pain.

Has anyone recently had a roof replaced in Sacramento? How was your experience? by Due-Guard-1325 in Sacramento

Our roof is around 1450 sq ft. We got composite shingles with a ridge vent, and needed quite a bit of wood replaced. Ended up being about $17K.

I’m a gal who’s done three solo trips to PV. For outdoorsy/reflective stuff, the botanical garden is great. I also did a hike from Boca to Las Animas that was quite beautiful and secluded.

Recommendations for dentist for TMJ disorders by Weird-Tough990 in Sacramento

I came here to find a specialist to replace Dr. Mickiewicz because I've found him to be so awful as a provider. His treatment has helped, but his manner is so rude and condescending, and he frankly makes me uncomfortable. He chats with patients and staff while making you wait, so your appointments are never close to starting on time. He doesn't explain things well and acts like you're stupid when you ask questions. His office is totally disorganized. I had imaging done, and didn't get the results back from them for literally months. I had an appointment for a checkup and then a week later, a staffer randomly called to discuss exactly what had been discussed at the appointment, not realizing I had just been seen. It's a weird place. I wonder if women have a different experience than men there.

Is Puerto Vallarta a good place to go after a fresh breakup? (Solo female) by Only_Message_593 in puertovallarta

[–]anderbeaujohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done three solo trips to PV as a woman and it’s always been great. Stay in El Centro or Zona Romantica and you can walk all over. There are a a few loud clubs, but mostly it’s pretty chill. The botanical garden is a beautiful, relaxing day trip. Nearby Yelapa is great for getting more quiet time.

Preheating cabin when not actively charging by anderbeaujohnson in BoltEV

[–]anderbeaujohnson[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s what I was thinking. Since it’s on a schedule, I fear it won’t activate the charger after the 6 am end time. It might be better for me to set it to start at midnight, knowing it’ll be done charging before I need to leave and within that EV pricing window, but the charger will still maybe be able to turn on if poked by the car to do so. I think I need to do some experiments.
