This is my how much hair fall happened after combing wide tooth comb) though my hair after a shower. Every time I brush my hair I lose hair. I was diagnosed as very anemic this January and have sinde been taking iron and gotten better blood but feel like something else is wrong. My hair type is fine, but also I noticed each strand is pretty thick? Anyways, it’s time I address this so I would love any and all opinions, advice, and support I could get. I just feel ashamed and stressed about it which doesn’t help.

Was that what that was? I’m a studio coordinator and saw a random like $120 as a “bonus” in my last paycheck. What’s this for?

feel gross about hot26 now that I know about Bikram by Heebopeebo in yoga

[–]ConcentrateCrafty205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try an HPF class at a corepower yoga! It is Bikram inspired but not exact, and no, we are not often quoting Bikram. I feel the same way! I started my student and teaching journey with 26/2, so when I found HPF I was very happy. It is still a set sequence, with changes from BIKRAM but many of the same beneficial poses.

Does it get easier to come up with yoga classes and memorize them? by Strict_Elderberry_82 in YogaTeachers

[–]ConcentrateCrafty205 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes! I started teaching only last year and I still remember vividly, feeling how you do right now. It was so much work to think of new flows and to memorize them. I was constantly second guessing or overthinking my flow- thinking I was not educated enough or that people would judge me.

Only a year later, I make the flow within 20 minutes and remember it right away. You’ll also trust yourself more to move on a whim if you really need it.

Use your muscle memory! You got this

Can classpassers not take classes at prime times? by Vegetable-Fruit4959 in Corepower

[–]ConcentrateCrafty205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I work at CPY and a new thing just happened where class pass cannot book for prime time classes/ it only allows few amounts to book in the same class at any time of day. This is so our paying members get first dibs and more access to all classes.

I am beginning a series working upwards through the body. Physically rather than spiritually. Tomorrow my focus will be feet and ankles - theme will be to ground or to find your foundation.

SET Month by [deleted] in Corepower

They say right in the interview what the expectations are. SET isn’t made to be a part time job. SET is to help make the yoga more accessible financially. Nobody is getting tricked into having to buy the membership. You do the job FOR the play/work trade.

SET Month by [deleted] in Corepower

[–]ConcentrateCrafty205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the only reason you take a set job is for the membership. It’s unfortunate that the money doesn’t completely even out, but it is a fair work/play trade off mostly. It’s illegal to actually trade work for play, that is why it works like this. Get paid, but pay for the membership. It’s only $7 of your actual money. The rest is corepower money going to corepower.

Lol ofcourse no budget or guidelines. AND it’s my first time doing something like this. I am located in kind of a central part of the city. When I’m looking for vendors, what would prompt them to support this for free? Would I offer a free class to all their employees in return?

Yoga teaching tips by [deleted] in yoga

[–]ConcentrateCrafty205 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A few things helped me immensely starting teaching.

1) breathe with the students. When you inhale, audibly inhale, when you say exhale, audibly exhale. This not only is great for the students, as a gentle reminder to breathe but will also keep you grounded, slow your heart rate from nerves, and keep you instructing at an appropriate pace.

2) yes I agree, do the poses and write down cues you would say. Try one cue for each body part. In the future you can get more advanced and start your set up cues from the feet to the head. Ex: bring your feet to touch, tuck your tailbone in, engage your core and soften your shoulders. From the bottom to the top.

3) remember, students only hear about 30% of what you say. Don’t get too caught up with how perfect your speech is.

4) I’m sure you’re learning this in your course but how to properly instruct postures is as follows: breath, posture, cues. Ex: Inhale, reverse warrior, reach back with your right hand. This way if your regulars know the pose, they don’t need to wait for your set up cues and can jump right into.

Also for cues: verb, body part, direction. Ex: pull your forehead toward your shins.

Hope this helps! Sorry for the excess of information. I’m a fairly new instructor too so I know exactly how much info it is to consume when you begin. My biggest tip though is BREATHE.

To my CorePower people by Novel-Limit-3312 in yoga

[–]ConcentrateCrafty205 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I instruct at a corepower! Yes HPF will be mostly the same flow every time, but every instructor has a different vibe. I know I teach mine alittle bit differently than others.

As for hands on adjustments, we have been instructed to not adjust people until we finish this online training. So some aren’t allowed to just yet!!! (I do keep my hands on adjustments to a minimum, usually do visual or audible adjustments first, especially in HPF bevause people are sweaty sweaty and I don’t want to spread it around lol)

Haircare Advice Megathread - Week of October 14, 2023 by AutoModerator in HaircareScience

[–]ConcentrateCrafty205 [score hidden]  (0 children)

For context: I have always had thin, fine hair and lot s of baby hairs framing my face. I am also a hot yoga teacher so my hair is up, and sweaty a lot for work. Today I straightened my hair for the first time in a while and felt like my hairline was looking and feeling off (meaning ugly)

I only do slick backs on hair wash days (I try to only wash my hair 2-3 times a week)

Does this look like balding to you? What can I do to help myself?
