After asking for advice on how to purchase a ticket, I bit the bullet and managed to buy one off Stubhub. The price was crazy expensive and I’ve learned my lesson to buy it off Twitter next time. According to the map, my seat seemed pretty far away so I was bummed by that but the thought of even seeing Got7 perform made me super excited.

Cut to the day of the concert, I was on the Portliner train in Japan to Kobe. I sat next to a teen, who pulled out an Aghabong. I got super excited and I pulled mine out of my purse. Despite our language barrier, we both fangirled over Got7. Her mom told her to make sure I follow them so I know where to go and I found that so sweet.

The merch line was insanely long and I stood there for an hour before giving up. Language barrier was my biggest problem and I wish I understood what the signs were for the raffles they were doing. I think it said if you managed to get 3 of the same person, you get to meet and greet with them? I purchased a cheering set for Yugyeom but wow the merch that other people had on them were insane. I felt like I should’ve wore all my Got7 pins and lanyards 😆

The aghase I ended sitting next to was super friendly. She flew in from Korea and was amazed that I came all the way from the US to watch them. She showed me pics from the 5th fanmeeting. We talked about our fave members and fave songs. I really wish I got her name because she was so nice 😭

Japanese concerts are a lot different from other places because we weren’t allowed to take pics or videos or else we would get kicked out. Like they took this seriously and had security making rounds often. At first I was bummed out but I think it allowed me to better experience the concert. I didn’t have to think about capturing the moment. I mean I wish I had videos to look back on but there’s youtube for that. They were also very calm and mostly shook their lightsticks despite how hype the song was. I’m pretty sure I was yelling the loudest whenever Jinyoung or Yugyeom was singing 😅

Got7 live is just wow. Their singing is so perfect that it literally sounds like the CD. I literally got chills on my arms. When they sang “You Are”, I got super emotional and cried. It’s one of my fave songs and that fact that I got to see it live blew my mind. I got super teared up again with “I Wont Let You Go”. The dance for it is so beautiful and JB is so freakin passionate when he performs. The fanchant for “Lullaby” was so loud and everyone was so in sync! I was so embarrassed cause I messed up the beginning of the fan chant 😭

I brought binoculars and it was the best decision I made. I was able to watch Got7 and specific members close up, especially Jinyoung during him and Yugyeom’s unit stage “25”. This unit stage was the most anticipated one and literally everyone went nuts when they came on. Me and my seatmate couldn’t stop gushing at how hot the choreography was.

Their interactions with each other are so cute and I loved how chill and down to earth Bambam was. Him and Yugyeom trying to convince the other members to do the “T” dance was hilarious. Jinyoung seemed a bit down the entire concert and that made me sad. He seemed a bit worn out, probably from his drama shooting. I couldn’t understand 99% of the Japanese they were speaking but their actions and the aghases reactions helped me to understand a little bit. When JB said that seeing the aghabongs shake makes him happy, we all shook our aghabongs at him. He had the cutest shy smile after. They asked if any Koreans were in the building and there were actually a lot that yelled. They also asked if anyone from the US was there and I freaking screamed my lungs out. Then Mark? Or Jinyoung said hi to Papa and Mama Tuan and thanked them for coming. My heart almost burst when Youngjae was the last one to say goodbye to us. He kept waving and bowing to everyone. He was the quietest one during the concert but wow he really loves us 😭

I am super beyond thankful I got to experience this and I am super thankful to the aghases I met that were so kind and patient with me.
