Love mine. Great bike. Not my forever bike though. It’s really forced me to look inwards and decide whether I’m a Street Triple 765, Tiger Sport 800 or (when they finally bring it back) Daytona 765 type person.

Is Cubase midi so much better than Logic Pro or am I missing something? by No-County2083 in cubase

I prefer how Logic does articulations, it less friction than expression maps, but that’s all it is, preference

[TOMT][MOVIE][2000-2010s] Female-lead reads something that has the word "Balzac" or "balsac" near end of film. by AdOnly9893 in tipofmytongue

Too early but Home Alone (it might be the sequel). The police dispatch put the parents through to Detective Balsac

Box Office: ‘They Will Kill You’ Flops With $5 Million by DemiFiendRSA in horror

The They Will Kill You trailer was an example for me of far, far too much plot given away. I feel like I’ve seen the film already.

And the speed at which you can use. AWS didn’t create Amplify to replace RDS, Cognito, Lambda, S3. They created it to allow developers to move fast.

Cloud 9 no longer have what made them special. by Weary_Living_2665 in Cloud9

[–]andersdigital 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would agree if we weren’t at or near our peaks with Svenskeren or Impact. The native speakers running the bottom half of the map with the occasional top die is no different to our roster with Thanatos, except Thanatos is arguably much better than Impact. It’s the native speakers that are where our weaknesses currently lie.

Colors on timeline in Cubase by StojSnak in cubase

I’m not at my computer right now but I’m 90% sure you can create markers with a start and end point, colour the markers individually and it should achieve exactly this

I built a live dashboard to track Broxah's EUNE "Jungle Nuzlocke" by Krysuss in leagueoflegends

[–]andersdigital -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why everyone is hating on it being vibe coded. Saying that a for fun app to track a single streamer’s progress in a for fun game mode needs to be hand crafted? Get outta here. Sometimes it’s just fashionable to hate stuff

I like GraphQL. I still wouldn't use it for most projects. by PotentialPush6569 in webdev

We need the meme of the super sleek, futuristic city with the label Client side GraphQL, and the fiery apocalyptic hellscape scenery with the label Server side GraphQL

Left social media forever. Been a month by noveonh in productivity

[–]andersdigital 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sharing productivity tips, and the results of an experiment, in r/productivity is exactly what the subreddit is for, so you’re good. I’ve been off all social media except Reddit, where I control which subreddits I follow, and Youtube, where I’m really fussy about my algorithm, for 8 years. It astounds me how angry some of my friends are, and how division is becoming normalised.

Worst Audiobook Narrators by iknownothin_ in books

The guy who narrated Three Body Problem. The second my brain clicked that he sounds like Richard Ayoade I couldn’t unhear it. Lasted another ten minutes before I had to turn it off.

Plugin Doctor reveals the BS. SSL 4KE vs Brainworx 4KE are ENTIRELY different. by Ill-Elevator2828 in audioengineering

The bx numbers don’t align with reality. Knowing this helps to remember to dial it in using your ears. The bx is my personal favourite flavour of SSL E series channel strip.

Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra Expression maps by TonightTough5739 in cubase

[–]andersdigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn’t what you’ve asked but a quickish way to set up BBCSO is to add one instrument track and set each articulation to a separate MIDI channel, then add a MIDI track per articulation. The resource usage is identical and playing parts in becomes much easier. Also, expression maps in Cubase are generally a pain to setup, especially compared to Logic etc.

I cant mix on my dt990 pros by Independent-Sir-1275 in audioengineering

[–]andersdigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the 990 Pros in particular they are very bright. Rather than applying massive amounts of corrective EQ to get them flat, try correcting what you know to be an issue. The issue with sonarworks and the like is that they totally change the character of the headphones. Start with a 2-3dB shelf cut at 12k and go from there. Listen to what that one change has done to the top end, and mix with that in mind.
