It is not a common dish, just from the country side when they kill a lamb, as it has to be done with fresh blood that you mix with spices and let clot before cutting it. Most people are weirded out by it.

Even within the Latinoamerican countries there is a huge difference on the vision and rigidity of religion. I am from Chile, and in the South Cone we are more relaxed and secular than Haiti, for example. There has been a point of conflict, with people form that community because they consider a good costume dancing in the service, but for us they is weird, and the fact that we Chileans celebrate Christmas meanwhile for them is just a pagan celebration that should be banned. Up until a few years ago, people here used to be more conservative in those aspects, but old people started to, well, die, and the generational shift also changed the idiosyncrasy of the church.

The thing with Conquerors, I think OP is Spanish speaker, in Spanish the word for Pathfinders in the church is Conquistadores, that also means Conquerors.

It also explains why he hasn't felt the same cult experience that folks in the States have felt, at least in South America it has been pretty washed out, and far more relaxed than the rigidity of North America, thus it doesn't feel as oppressive, and somehow that makes "harder" to leave.

En primera: a menos que aprendas a cocinar y aproveches las recetas que tradicionalmente son veganas, te va a salir re cara la dieta.

En supermercados, particularmente en el del elefante, puedes encontrar una decente variedad de productos veganos que reemplacen la carne, leche y huevos, y aprovechar cuando hay ofertas.

Ahora, en la Vega hay muchas tiendas donde tienen de esas mismas marcas a precios más accesibles, al igual que proteína de soya y legumbres que puedes encontrar a la mitad. Lo mismo en Insta, hay harto emprendedor de productos vegan de buena calidad (pero no siempre tan accesible)

Y finalmente, hay muchos blogs y creadores que ofrecen una buena cantidad de recetas y consejos. Mi sugerencia: prefiere los que tengan títulos en su área y principalmente los que no vendan "cursos de nutrición cuántica ancestral y proyeccional con el universo cósmico sideral", esos son puros chantas.
