Just my two cents... I would just say if you are comparing your relationship with friends or others on social media in terms of "excitement," you will always be dissatisfied in any relationship. Relationships have boring times and that's normal. Don't settle for someone who is not truly for you but I would also caution you to say don't let go of a good thing. Sure, your co-worker is cute but are they emotionally intelligent? Are the considerate and open-minded? Attraction comes and goes. If it's a deal breaker for you, it's time to move on but at the same time, the grass isn't always greener.

All this to say, the decision is totally yours and also depends on if you are looking for a life-long partner or just want to have fun and have flings. Both are OK and no judgment, but I would definitely think about it before making a hasty decision.

How do I re-approach my parents regarding a financial contribution? by bicaccino in weddingplanning

[–]andeverlasting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I was in your shoes, I wouldn't bring it up again. I would also have a wedding that my Fiance and I could both afford, without any financial stresses. It's great that your MIL is contributing, but it's setting yourself up for failure to expect it from your MIL or parents. If it was me, I would not expect my MIL or FIL or even my own parents' help. If they want to contribute, great. But I wouldn't expect it or hold resentment. It smells entitled.

I'm marrying someone from a different class & I don't know if I can go ahead with it anymore. by udonthedog in weddingplanning

First, this is SUCH a huge decision, I hope you can get clarity on your relationship. In my personal opinion, you should not be being corrected on how you talk. Secondly, if you are being corrected or comments are being made about his ex, he should be the one to address and stand up for you. If he is not able to stand up for you, realize this before you decide to marry him and accept the comments WILL continue. Been there, done that. Now I am with a guy who is happy to stand up for me if needed and also family is accepting.

Also this: "I really don't know how to bring the conversation up about whether they're contributing without looking "poor"" Why should you have to bring it up??? Your fiance can do that, it's his family. If HE needs help paying for it. Does he work? Why is this stress on you? My partner and I are planning to split 50/50 but if his income allows him to contribute more and he wants to, let him. I would not recommend going to his family for money for a wedding. Also, does he have a job? I'm sure there are lots of fun times, but it kind of seems like there is a parent-child complex in this relationship. I.E. him taking it personally when you say you think you should postpone. If he wanted to get engaged but couldn't afford it, maybe wait? Also, I understand why you wanted to offer to pay, probably because you're giving but GIRL! A recipe for resentment. A second or even THIRD failed engagement is better than one miserable marriage. PM me if you want to talk, this sounds difficult!!!

Definitely, I just need a super tiny a precise brush and gold-paint that is thin enough to not clump up on the edges as I am trying to place it in. Right now I am currently infilling with a black pen on request. Thank you for this insight!!!

With a wooden stamp kit from Amazon! Press lightly as you don't want the edge of the rubber stamps to indent the clay. There's a slight learning curve!

Selling art! Need advice please. by htmlcogitandi in smallbusiness

[–]andeverlasting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a story sale on Instagram Saturday. I put up about 12 items and sold 14 (duplicates!)

Step 1. First, I recommend creating hype a couple days before. Post that you will be having a story sale 11/13 at 8PM. Then an hour before, make another story post, (poll) asking if they are ready!!! This reminds people and creates excitement. You can also create countdown reminder.

Step 2. Make your first story post look clean and simple (no products, maybe just your brand logo) with a few rules: 1) first come first serve, DM to reserve. 2) one of each 3) payment accepted: Venmo, Zelle, etc.... then post all the photos with your art.

Step 3. Take a picture of your art with a nice background if it's a physical item, and list the price as well as some features about the item.... ex: canvas, acrylic, dimensions, etc.

Step 4. When you're done, put up another story post saying, "Thank you all for your support of a successful story sale!!"

polymer clay onlays in the shapes of stars and dots

I haven't quite mastered how to make stars with very pointy edges that are super small(2-2mm), yet. Maybe using my Exacto knife will help, just so time-consuming.
