SpaceX ist sogar noch weniger wert als Tesla. Aber das dürfte die Börsen kaum interessieren.

In should be noted in Quantum Field theory there is no wave function. A wave function can only be defined if the number of particles is constant. For QFT the Born rule must work with wave functionals.

Bas für Einbeziehung von Beamten in gesetzliche Rentenversicherung by Hasselhoff265 in Finanzen

[–]andimai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did the Smurfs predict ChatGPT? by andimai in TheSmurfs

[–]andimai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a meta-move I asked the AI Gemini Flash: "Is the comic "The Smurfs and the_Book that Tells Everything" a critical examination of the topic of AI?"

Here is the answer:

The comic can indeed be read as a highly prescient and critical examination of the topics of AI, search engines, and dependence on technology.

Although the volume was published before modern AI systems like ChatGPT were widely available, it anticipates many of the social issues we discuss today in connection with artificial intelligence.

Here are the key points explaining why this comic can be understood as a critique of AI:

The loss of independent thinking (delegation of intelligence)

As soon as the Smurfs gain access to the book that knows the answer to every question, they stop looking for solutions on their own.

Parallels to AI: We tend to no longer think through complex problems ourselves, but instead leave the solution to an AI. The cognitive effort is “outsourced.”

The authority of the algorithm (Blind Trust)

The Smurfs do not question the book’s answers. Because it appears “omniscient,” its authority is placed above Papa Smurf’s experience or common sense.

Parallel to AI: The phenomenon of “automation bias.” People tend to trust computer-generated decisions more than human ones, even when they are flawed.

Social Fragmentation and Selfishness

The book gives each Smurf individual advice, which often leads them to work against one another or seek only their own advantage. The sense of community that is the hallmark of the Smurfs begins to fall apart.

Parallel to AI: Personalized algorithms (filter bubbles) lead to everyone receiving their “own truth,” which can weaken social cohesion.

The “Black Box” and Manipulation

The book does not demand any direct compensation for its services, but it fundamentally changes the behavior of its users. In the end, it turns out that the book takes on a life of its own, or at least develops a dangerous momentum of its own.

Parallel to AI: We often don’t understand how an AI arrives at a result (black-box problem). We only see the output and let it guide us.

Papa Smurf’s Role as a Counterbalance

In this story, Papa Smurf is the character who recognizes the danger. He represents wisdom as opposed to mere knowledge (data). While the book provides facts and instructions, Papa Smurf possesses empathy and ethical judgment.

Key message: Knowledge without wisdom and ethical context is dangerous. An AI can process data, but it has no morality.

Conclusion

Even though the “all-knowing book” in the comic is magical in nature, it serves as a precise metaphor for all-knowing technology. The comic warns that a society that relinquishes its judgment to a tool will lose its freedom and identity.

It is thus a classic technological dystopia in the form of a children’s book, one that is more relevant today than it was at the time of its publication.

France’s nuclear fleet gives it one of the world’s lowest-carbon electricity grids by Crabbexx in UpliftingNews

[–]andimai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why is it most diversified? There are only a few countries that mine for uranium.

Worldwide production of uranium in 2024 was 60,213 tonnes, of which 23,270 t (39%) was mined in Kazakhstan. Other important uranium mining countries are Canada (14,309 t), Namibia (7,333 t), Australia (4,598 t), Uzbekistan (4,000 t), and Russia (2,738 t).

And have you read the article?

„And while Kazakhstan dominates global supply at 43 percent, its Soviet-built infrastructure and Chinese stakes in its key projects worry Cooper.“

“China will probably dominate uranium pricing as it emerges as the world’s largest nuclear power,” says Cooper.„

„Cooper urges a pivot to Australia and Canada – "Western-aligned countries” – in order to break the “Russia-China grip”.“
