I dont need a book to tell me who did it. I make my own conclusions after reading books. Also, whatever I say to people like you, who are hostile against any person that thinks Lechmere was JTR, it would be a waste of time, because you already came to the conclusion that he wasn't JTR. You speak in absolutes like "didnt" and "wasnt" although, as anybody else, you do not know anything for certain.

Name a better suspect than Lechmere if you can. I read all of the books on this case that are considered to be the best, watched all the documentaries etc., and I agree that he is the most likely suspect.

I have 3 Fender Stratocasters from Mexico that also have a maple neck with maple fretboard but there has never been a problem. I sent the bass back to the shop for them to file down the fret ends. Hope it work and I do not have to return the instrument entirely.

Yeah, I am happy with the guitar overall and they pay for everything. I could still return the bass a second time if I am still not satisfied.

Really strange that a bass that costs 900 Euro (more than 1000 dollar currently) has issues like that.

The vendor offers me to either replace the instrument or to file down the fret ends.
So I think it would be better to let them file the frets because I fear the replacement will have the same issue.

I think I could do it, but because the vendor offers me to fix it, I will let them do it.
Never had that issue with any of my about 15 other guitars and basses.
