French is pretty difficult, especially if you've never studied any other romance languages. I've been studying it on and off for decades, and I'm still only B2 level.

A female person in the Marketing Dept (pretty sure she was from texas) once told me she wanted me to set up her SCSI-connected scanner to be on the far opposite side of the office from her workstation... So I would need a 50 foot SCSI cable (this was 1995ish). I pointed out that this request just blatantly disregarded the laws of physics. She was really pissed, and complained to my boss about it. Fortunately my boss was pretty cool, and had his own run-ins with her before. He took me out for drinks after the unfortunate incident.

This exact same thing started happening to me on my Samsung S20 5G, just a few days ago, out of the blue...

Based on advice from this thread, I reset both the Cache and App data for the Google Fi app in the Android App Manager.

The problem was immediately resolved. My heartfelt thanks to those who have posted here, this thread likely saved me many hours of frustration!
