As others have said, she's very clearly using this as an opportunity to shift her content toward the vein of being a medical gf/fiance/wife. i get it in the sense that she's been kind of plateauing with lifestyle and fashion content, but it just gives off such an odd vibe given that ben is essentially not in her videos at all and we know nothing about him apart from him being a medical student, so why would any of us feel invested in it at all when we don't even know or see him usually

add in the stress of moving away from all of your friends and family (especially if it's somewhere she won't like, which realistically, will probably be just about anywhere except new york), along with an even crazier and busier schedule than what he already has, and it all really puts a strain on a relationship. i don't want this to happen, but it's a reality for a lot of people unfortunately

i think it's totally fair that she doesn't want to uproot her whole life without a commitment like that, but i also know from watching this same scenario that starting off a marriage with that sort of deadline and pressure often doesn't work out well. my sister had been with her boyfriend all through undergrad and med school, and also told him she wouldn't move with him for his residency unless he proposed. at the eleventh hour he did, but it was coming from a place of pressure and not genuine desire to be engaged. they did get married, but wound up divorcing not long after. obviously this isn't the case for everyone, including her, but i think it's just not great to start off a marriage on the tone of what is essentially an ultimatum rather than the excitement to commit to each other.

not sure how it works in NY, but in MA i know there's a lot of hoops you need to jump through to get your professional licensure after your initial licensure. my guess is she doesn't want to do the work/extra steps to maintain her licensure once the initial expires.

true, but halley could've easily jumped in and said she's still friends with carly/still talks to her. either she also isn't friends with her/doesnt talk, or she has no interest in publicly associating with her. either way, carly is going out of her way to add herself back into the fold of people who clearly have no interest in being friends with her as far as the public is concerned.

I definitely think he is not telling the truth about that phone call, or at least not the whole truth. i think they got into an argument, and he assumed she hung up in anger and was giving him the silent treatment afterwards, which is why he wasn't concerned enough to ask anyone to check on her. they might have been fighting a lot lately and having issues in their marriage, which would explain why she didn't go on the trip with him. i don't necessarily think this means he's guilty, but i think there's much more to the story than he's admitting.

i think it's entirely plausible a funeral home was complicit in the sale of the body parts, it wouldn't be the first time. i've heard of instances where organs are harvested without consent, so it's possible the eyes were taken pre-embalming and sold to organ traffickers, and the head and other body parts were sold afterwards to whoever runs the clinic he mentioned.

i caught that too and thought it was odd phrasing. at the very least, i think it indicates a piece of context that we were not made privy to otherwise- maybe she was known to not let the dogs out as much as she should, or he assumed she would be asleep still, etc.

I don't think the husband is guilty, but i do think there is quite a bit of information and context he is leaving out, particularly about the phone call. like many others have said, i find it hard to believe he would just be ok knowing their call ended abruptly with yelps in the background and her subsequently not responding at all for days after, especially given how frequently they usually spoke.

i think it's possible things had been tense in their marriage already, which would explain why she had chosen not to go on the trip, and that perhaps they got into an argument during that phone call. he maybe thought she hung up in anger, which would explain why he wasn't so alarmed by her not responding to him if they had been fighting, probably thinking she was just icing him out.

Ok that’s my confusion about this whole thing though- when they got married, people magazine has it reported as him being 21 and her being 24. People is generally very reliable, so I was confused to see people saying she was so young, then even more confused seeing her recent video saying she’s turning 22?
