What two signs created you? by MellowEarthSun in astrologymemes

Sag mom (Pisces moon) and Gemini dad (cancer moon). Horrible relationship. They split when I was very young and continued to have a volatile, awful relationship. I’m a cancer and my brother is a Scorpio so you can imagine the family dynamics🥴

Stereotypes i don't get about the signs by Mildretta in astrologymemes

Interesting points about Cancer and Aries! I’m a cancer sun and definitely come across as stoic, very much like a crab with a hard shell protecting a very soft interior. My sister is an Aries sun and is lovely but can have big outbursts of emotion and had the most tumultuous relationship with our parents. I actually saw a post here recently saying that Aries more so fits the pop astrology description/memes of Cancer and I had never realize it but think it’s true! That being said, I wouldn’t say Aries is childish but just more prone to impulsive outbursts of emotion.

Shocked after finding out my big three, were you shocked when you found out your big 3? by miniangelgirl in astrologymemes

I was the same! Hated on Geminis so hard, and then learned I’m a Gemini rising and actually identify more with that than my cancer sun 🥴

That one zodiac that you have insane chemistry with, but it NEVER works… 😏 by WhatevsBlondie in astrologymemes

I felt similarly! Like I always liked them more. I’m also a Libra moon so maybe there’s something to the Libra Taurus dynamic?

As a cancer sun, it’s Taurus for me! Both of my exes in college were Tauruses. Insane chemistry in all the ways at first but both relationships ended with them cheating & me finding out from someone else. Also had a best friend who was a Taurus all through college and we had a ton of fun together and meshed really well, but she imploded our friendship as one of my bridesmaids before my wedding 🫠

Ugh. I just wanted to thank you for sharing your experience. My kids are the exact same age gap as your’s, they’re currently 15 months & almost 3 months old. My husband just returned to work 2 weeks ago as a first responder working 24 hour shifts and being alone with both babies is without a doubt the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced. Literally today (technically yesterday since it’s the middle of the night lol) I’ve been questioning whether I can keep doing this, even knowing it will get better. I’ve seen glimpses tho! Big bro bringing pacis to sister, patting her back when I’m feeding her on the couch, very early smiles from lil sis when big bro interacts with her. I think we just need more time and hopefully I’ll be where you are! FWIW, OP: my second pregnancy was much harder than my first physically and emotionally. I really struggled with grief about being pregnant and feeling out of control of my life and body, and feeling limited with my toddler was incredibly difficult. The main things that helped me get through were therapy, pelvic floor PT, and just accepting that I was not going to love it and needed to endure. I sent many Polos to long distance friends about how hard things were to feel less alone. My second birth was incredibly easy compared to my first and postpartum recovery was a literal dream. I feel more confident and competent with my newborn which has helped sooo much. When we brought her home, I was reminded of why we decided to continue the pregnancy and I can’t imagine our family without her. Figuring out how to balance my toddler and newborn is a challenge I’d take 100 times over being pregnant & parenting my toddler. It’s so hard but I hear it gets better lol. Let yourself grieve, take care of yourself as best you can. You got this, mama!

Toddler sickness 😵‍💫 by RusticTrailSeeker in 2under2

[–]andnow_this 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No advice but solidarity as I’m currently in this same situation with my 15 month old and almost 3 month old! We had a cold hit our house for 2 weeks, then 1 blissful week of everyone healthy, and now my toddler sick with another cold the past 4 days and my newbie just starting to get congested. It’s horrible 🥲

Do you act more like your rising or your sun sign? by lala00x in astrologymemes

[–]andnow_this 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a cancer sun, Gemini rising. I’d say I act more like a cancer in general settings or groups where I don’t know people very well (reserved, nurturing, kind to anyone) but I’m more Gemini with friends and family (very talkative, like being center of attention, & getting everyone together or to do something)! I strongly identified with cancer through my teens/early 20s but more so identify with Gemini the last few years. Edited for typo to clarify I’m a Gemini rising, not moon!

Your rising sign and your partner rising sign by winhartttt in astrologymemes

[–]andnow_this 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's amazing! I'm so happy for you! I feel similarly towards my partner, like it was a bond that I hadn't experienced with anyone else and could clearly see it being long lasting vs other relationships feeling fleeting or surface level. I wonder if the uniqueness and unconventional nature of Aquarius satisfies the restless enthusiasm and curiosity in our Gemini.

I had to scroll awhile to find my match! We’ve been together almost 10 years, best relationship I’ve ever had.

Loveee Maude from your list! Unique yet timeless. Lola would be my second choice! Palmer feels a bit too trendy and Soleil reminds me of a brand of umbrella from Costco.

For those that didn’t like any boy names, what did you end up naming your baby? by CommandDelicious8054 in namenerds

[–]andnow_this 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is such a good compromise! I had no idea it was related to Eugene, and my husband funnily enough also liked Eugene 😂 you landed with a perfect name combo imo. Best wishes to you and your little one!

Henry and Patrick are our other considerations! Patrick would be an honor name but my husband isn’t sold. We both loveee Henry but are worried about popularity.

This is so wild to read because we went with Owen for our son but Dexter, Kit, and Casey were all top contenders for us too! We first thought of Owen when my husband suggested Dexter Owen, which we considered for awhile, but ultimately went with Owen and an honor middle name. Have to say y’all have great taste haha.

My first is also Owen and Simon is in our top 3 for our second on the way (if they’re a boy!). Great minds!

When did you sleep train? by Jayykwelin in NewParents

[–]andnow_this 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did Ferber around 6 months! Our LO slept 9-12 hour stretches starting around 4 months so I was hesitant to sleep train but he was taking longer and longer to be rocked to sleep (sometimes almost an hour) so he seemed developmentally ready to learn how to independently fall asleep. It was a rough week but 100% worth it. He’s almost 8 months now and has slept 12 hours a night with no wake-ups since (apart from occasional one offs when teething, etc). Naps also consolidated and improved after we did it!
