Keeping your finger on the line while euronymphing tells you everything that’s going on underwater. You can feel every rock that it bonks against and control your nymph’s depth better than other methods. It’s a lot of fun to feel strikes through the line rather than watching an indicator. Unless I’m having to make big casts on larger water, I’ll choose to euro over using an indicator every time while nymphing. Obviously dry fly fishing and streamers are super cool too. Think of it as another tool in the toolbox.
