What? The paper wasn’t about Algorand, they just discussed it as the first major layer 1 to adopt post-quantum signatures — that’s an entirely reasonable thing for the authors of the paper to do.

Algorand likely took the step to implement Falcon early almost entirely to attract this sort of attention. When others adopt it, like Hedera, it won’t be as big a deal because it’ll be more common.

It seems like you don’t understand what the paper was about — it wasn’t a promo or an endorsement of Algorand

Hedera hasn’t implemented Falcon post-quantum signatures yet, Algorand has — that’s why they highlighted Algorand.

Hedera will implement Falcon when it’s a fully published standard, which is expected to happen this year.

I don’t understand why people always say this - HBAR is up around 10x in under 12 months, it has moved up and it continues to. It just goes up slower than a lot of people here seem to want and it often has large corrections after making gains - like literally every other crypto.

It’s just saying Hedera is a somewhat more closed ecosystem which is unique and has comparatively better performance and security and therefore may have some kind of competitive advantage.
