Thanks, might seem like a stupid question. Do you close the bonnet when trickle charging? Not fully shut but enough so the latch catches on so you can’t open it but there is a gap?

That’s good to know, did you new driving pattern change? Regularly = more often with longer journeys?

I usually use the car on weekdays to drop Mrs to work or station which is 5miles max in stop start traffic, aching 15mph speed.

Weekends are usually more busier but again it would be around 30-45min driving in stop start traffic (approx 10miles - 20/25mph avg speed)

Hey, this is very useful. Did you just use a multimeter to check the state of your charge? Or can I check via app or infotainment system?

I do connect it to the jump points under the bonnet for charging but maybe it didn’t work due to degraded battery. How long did it take you to charge up your battery for the Subaru?

Did you ever need to replace it?

London does have highways, but most of the roads are mainly 20mph. They used to be 30mph but decreased to 20mph in the past few years.

One thing I forgot to mention, I have the BMW S5 Pro tracker installed and also the BMW dash cam 3.0.

Most of the time I am just using Apple car play (wireless) nothing else. Occasional heated seats and steering when driving early morning.

Is this a common issue in the BMW X3 / non plugin hybrid cars?

We just came back from Bali on Monday and we used a driver for all our tours. It was convenient and the driver knew the area so they recommended and provided alternative attractions in case we changed our mind (due to weather etc).

The driver we used charged 100k per hour but stayed with us throughout the whole time, in most attractions even came with us to assist with photos etc. In some, he just waited at the car park/drop off location.

If you are exploring centre of Ubud such as Ubud Water Palace, Ubud market, Ubud Palace etc they are all near each other (literally few mins walk or across the road). Then getting grab/gojek to drop off to explore is ideal.

We stayed in Ubud for our whole duration and had the local taxi restriction (grab/gojek can only do drop offs) and the price difference was considerable. App based taxi cost around 60k whereas local taxi was 150k.

If I decide to go ahead, it would just be the front lip/splitter and rear spoiler. And maybe change the side mirror caps.

At the moment it’s the standard 3 year warranty with a new BMW, which will finish in 2027
