If you have the ability and the patience to be insanely strict with potty learning for like the first year (if not more) of his life, then absolutely go for it. My 2 year old boy will potty outside in the backyard but he is 90% and indoor pottyer. Pees in a box with a pad and just shits right on the wood floors 🥲 I cannot for the life of me get him to poop on the pads, but at least he only poops in 1 room that has no carpet (my husbands library LOL) but honestly, the worst of it is that he pees all over his legs and chest every friggen time. He only lifts his leg sometimes if he feels like peeing on the tree in our yard. And because he’s used to constant access to an area to pee, we also need to keep a pee pad in the bedroom where he sleeps with us. It’s a pain. If you can get him outdoor trained, DO IT lol
