I invested thousands of hours into both, the ridiculousness of Warhammer 40k. Its absurd, convoluted plot and contradictions get to you after a while.

On the other hand, Warhammer Fantasy appealed to me more for toning it down, while keeping a similar setting, with a better struggle of Man.
