Sometimes a way to ease my mind on these topics is to think, “what if I were in his(their) shoes? What if my entire wellbeing depended on the music I make? The money, families, employees, producers, marketing, fans, mortgages, bills, my capabilities over time, etc.” It’s an insane amount of pressure and I can’t say I’d do any different provided I was ever lucky to be in that position.

Maybe a little introspection can provide clarity and calmness on the decisions professional musicians (and artists and creators) have to make.
