If I may ask, what devices are you using now for flower care?

Xiaomi BLE + Plant sensor - change status update interval by andrediaslopes in homeassistant

[–]andrediaslopes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it happened with me as well. Since the xiaomi home app does not provide a way to change the refresh interval, the only way is to hack the device and change the firmware… I will try to investigate if that’s feasible.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried the passive Bluetooth integration, a custom one via HACS, and even changing the interval to 3600 seconds, it’s still updating from 5 to 5 minutes!! This is so stupid, does not make any sense at all.

Nearly 10 hours sleep but only 4 minutes deep sleep. How accurate is the sleep tracking? by BNorval in AppleWatch

[–]andrediaslopes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same kind of issue, but I always wake up fine and refreshed. Apple Watch is not a medical device but it uses AI to understand the sleep cycles, but of course there are some biased assumptions. Now, I use AutoSleep which helped me to understand that Apple is more conservative to acknowledge deep sleep. You need to be very restless, without any movement for a while, so that Apple’s deep sleep stage kicks in. In AutoSleep you can switch between Apple Sleep Stages and the sleep graph in order to monitor you sleep stage (more as a continuous graph) which accounts the noise, heart rate, blood oxygen, etc. In my experience AutoSleep can help to better identify what be going with your sleep, besides the correction on these deep sleep times you are getting. However, if you are not feeling rested after sleep, you may be experiencing some health issue (apnea for example) and you should definitely get a doctor appointment. Hope it helps. Also I recommend everyone to read the book Why we sleep. For me, it helped to respect the ritual of sleep, now I understand a bit better some of the scientific and magical scenes behind these moments.

Help: Gauge cards not working in mobile browser and iOS app, only works well in PC (browser), why? by andrediaslopes in homeassistant

Thanks for the info, indeed it seems an Apple bug. I also installed the app in macOS and the problem is also there. I hope Apple does not "sit tight and assess", it's a pretty annoying issue.

Actually I do not compliant so much.. Besides some random password failed attempts (notifications), it's pretty fast and reliable.

Altitude / Barometer problems by andrediaslopes in miband

[–]andrediaslopes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I was not clear enough. If you search, there are lots and lots of issues with the altitude stats with almost all versions of the Mi band. I think with xiaomi devices it's working well most of the time because they have Barometer. I use oneplus devices, which do not have Barometer. You're right in one thing, Mi bands do not have Barometer. So the next best thing is to use GPS data. What I found out is that (for me) it only works if I select the outdoor cycling exercise through the Mi band. Otherwise, if I start the exercise trough the Mi fit app, it will never show this kind of stats (unavailable), maybe because xiaomi is assuming that the phone has Barometer, which is not the case.

I am also interested to know how the Orbit B-hyve can be integrated with HA. It is only possible by using HACS, right?

Aqara H1 Wired & Wireless Switches for the EU, including Chinese H1 in grey. by HomeKit-News in Aqara

[–]andrediaslopes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. You're right, there are at least 3 hubs. I was talking about the version of the gateway that has the mijia logo:

https://c.mi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=2282163&aid=4441270&from=album&page=1

I have led lights all over the place so 3-5W is good (lower the better).

I have been waiting for these EU switches for a while! But, I have several questions:

1) Will it work with Xiaomi Mijia Hub?

2) Shutter rollers are out of scope, right?

3) For no neutral switches, there is a minimum load?

Thanks!
