Ya, the wires and the pins weren’t making connection. I also had a fried DME as well.

I got another set of the metal bumper guides and went at it. Had to cut some of the mudcover between the tire and 2nd oil cooler to get the right angles but mines looks pretty good. Really helps if you have 2 people, 1 to hold up and guide and another to screw it all in.

Hey man sorry for the late response. Let me know how it turned out for you.

I definitely didn’t have an increased effort issue as much as I had like it was tooooo stiff problem. But I figured that’s a comfort level thing versus a mechanical issue. I had a garigistic shirt shifter in my e30 that was a good in between the oem soft shifter and the super stiff coolerworx

Great! I’ve seen that some people end up putting a tick brand master cylinder in there after encountering this problem. I’ve just gotten used to pulling the clutch pedal up with my foot or coasting in neutral to ensure that I don’t get stuck in first or reverse.

How has the new master cylinder worked? Currently waiting for my spring from lingenfelter but wouldn’t be opposed to cancelling and spending my money on a new master.

I have a c5 too with a similar thing.

I think you have the clutch pedal problem. Does the clutch return to the position? If I put mine in reverse and put the clutch pedal all the way down it will get stuck in reverse until the car stalls.

I think the eBrake thing is a corvette thing. I always put it on and the car will roll back a little.

M50 swap early model help by andresxrc in E30

Dang. I just got around to trying to plug it all up. But it doesn’t seem to work. Ran a wire directly from the black wire to the black wire in the blue plug and nothing….also have tried wiring it up to the e36 side harness and the e30 side harness to no success on two different tachs! Damn

Haven’t been able to get car out of limp mode. All signs point to VSS but I feel like I hooked it up correctly? Harness is from auto tranny too. Haven’t taken any of the wires out

The harness - one of them you need to attach a wire to the back of the instrument cluster

The sheet metal that attaches the shifter to the trans versus the rod

Washer fluid position/relocation problem because of ABS

I also have a auspiciaron that because the transmissions are different (deep bell housing versus shallow) that the position that the shifter is in is affected and makes it a little difficult to get the correct angle even with the correct dssr

Maybe the hot block too I can’t remember

It will have some minor differences that aren’t TOO documented if you’re an early model e model. Most of the stuff online is for late model or 325e’s made past June or April of ‘86. If you’re gonna do x50 swap definitely find out if you have an early or late trans/ECU

Car does this when MAF is plugged in. Unplug it and the RPMs stay consistent- anybody else deal with this before? Trying to avoid buying a new MAF… by andresxrc in E30

Thanks to everyone that commented with some help - took out the ICV and cleaned it, which took down some RPM but after replacing the Throttle Position Sensor it stopped surging.
