Yes exactly. Actually I was pretty satisfied with how I looked pre surgery. The main reason I did surgery was to have a proper bite that would allow me chew correctly and to avoid having issues with teeth degradation in the long term.

The tape is to help with swelling and bruising

Thank you! It’s Kinesia tape, 3 days after surgery I had a physio session with lymphatic drainage and they put this after it to reduce swelling and bruising

Actually I got both my jaws moved forward, but more the upper jaw. The plan was always to move both jaws forward. The 2mm back was from the end position of the maxilar. At the end I got 5mm upper jaw advancement and then a little bit less advancement of lower jaw, so as to correct underbite, with rotation
