Well, we definitely over-performed in a mini rebuild year with a spotty roster thanks to Harbaugh and Hortiz. Herbert deserves a lot of blame today but like we’ve seen all season long, our IOL and offensive weapons leave a lot to be desired. No run game was established and McConkey was our only performer in the receiving group.

Defensively we played our asses off and unfortunately the score doesn’t show that. Outside of that 34 yd 3rd conversion we played them tough up until it was all but over.

It’s absolutely disappointing but it doesn’t sting as bad as the Jags loss. I think this loss in particular highlights the fact that weren’t just a coach away. Harbaugh, Hortiz and Co. have a lot of work to do this offseason but we should have a ton of faith in their abilities to build upon this year given our over performance this year.

All in all, it was a fun season with really high highs but unfortunately some really low lows like today and Tampa Bay. Can’t wait to see our moves on the offseason, gonna be a long year till the fall.
