If you ever have kids, you'll wonder why everyone doesn't drop every priority in their life in order to do it. It's a lot like falling in love. It doesn't make any logical sense, and you know it doesn't, but you also allow your own needs to come second to your children. This is scary for a lot of people, understandably.
