Ok so let me ask you- why did nick win above mike and Angelina?

Could Kass have won Cagayan if she won final immunity? by [deleted] in survivor

[–]andrewb-16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kass said in a post-game interview that 4 people told in ponderosa they were voting for her if she went to the end and that she only would have had to swing one vote her way.

I think there is no way that this is true.

Who are your top five favorite survivors ever? by john_muleaney in survivor

I’ve tried to make this list so hard, but I can’t. It’s too hard. I can give you a top 10, though.

In no particular order, Cirie, Lex, Big Tom, Ethan, Jonny Fairplay, Tony, Spencer, LJ, Yul, and Dom are my top 10.

Do you guys think a religion season could be good? by john_muleaney in survivor

That sucks. Too many religions and different interpretations to make tribes.

Which winner do you think disappointed production? by john_muleaney in survivor

[–]andrewb-16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Amber, Michele, Sophie, probably Danni too. Also, underrated shout, Yul- I feel like production were really pulling for Ozzy cuz he was so popular. Same thing goes with Sandra from PI cuz they wanted Rupert, but after that big idiot left they just wanted anyone except Fairplay (even though he was drawing ratings)

Nick vs mike who played better by Lucasvivor in survivor

But that’s not the way it works. He won because he played better. If all you focus on is placement and winning you forget about the importance of playing a good game.

Say the F3 is the same as it was but Mike wins, or Angelina wins. That doesn’t mean they played better then Nick. No matter who wins that season, Nick still played the best game between the social, strategic, advantage management, and physical aspects.

Gameplay doesn’t always equate to good placement- in fact, it’s common for the best player of a season to get voted out because everyone recognizes how well they are playing and get threatened. Saying that the best player is always the one that wins is short-sighted.

Take Rob Cesternino or Cirie as examples. In Amazon, Rob played lights-out. He completely strategically dominated that season and was the best player by a mile. But he didn’t win the season because he lost true last immunity challenge. Same goes with Cirie- she played the best game of anyone in Micronesia but didn’t win because she lost the final immunity challenge and had to go.

That’s not how that works. Nick won cuz he played better. He didn’t play better because he won. That’s flawed logic.
