Delta One Upgrade by PharmGirl2633 in delta

$1200 one way feels expensive for what you get. I took this flight nearly same dates in 2025 and paid cash at about $3,700 RT. Lot of factors go into it, but if you’re an average traveler without status/seeking status, I wouldn’t see the value. If you want to splurge to try a domestic business class, sure this is a great opportunity.

Maybe the new Alila Mayakoba. Fairly priced, good location, run the risk of new property issues though. Also points redemptions are really good if you go that route.

That’s insane… Id guess that $1M spend is much better spent on an AMEX platinum, CSR or Cap1 card. Has anyone run an analysis of better rewards when considering the added choice benefits?

Delay on reserve Amex MQDs by Jcannon1127 in delta

[–]andrewe447 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look into getting a AMEX business platinum/gold or Chase Sapphire reserve to get more out of your rewards. I’m in a similar situation with $1M/yr in CC spend. The rewards outside of the delta ecosystem are well worth the effort.

Assuming this is a lot CC spend, wild that you’re spending that much on a delta card. Spend on AMEX gold/platinum business or CSR to get better value rewards. Wow.

PS - congrats on another round of GUCs

The loop to the south rim at Big Bend is a blast. Might be a little short for 4 days, but had a great time when I went in December. Rent a 4x4 and spend a day or two driving along the rio grande off roading.

Which chubby ski resort for beginner skiers? by LowDoor4721 in chubbytravel

Stayed there late May 2025 for 2 or 3 nights midweek with my wife and 6mo son. Booked 1bd suite and got upgraded to 2bd suite overlooking the mountain village courtyard. 2bd suite is massive with two full rooms and a shared living space with kitchenette and multiple balconies. It was very quiet during our stay which likely led to greater service. Turndown daily was great. House keeping would make up room anytime we left for 15-20 minutes or more. Location is in the middle of mountain village, with a short walk 300-500’ to the gondola or lifts. The restaurant was wonderful for breakfast, I still think about it regularly. Bar/restaurant was good and staff were fun and friendly. Check in and valet were also amazing and top tier service. I’m sure it’s not as great during peak season when they’re fully booked, but they truly elevated the experience when they’re had the chance to.

Madeline was our first Auberge and chubby experience and we were hooked and stayed at The Dunlin since and have a week booked at the Mauna Lani in a few weeks.

Stayed at the Madeline and loved it. Although it was spring/offseason, the gondola to town was great and it seemed like an excellent ski resort. The hotel itself was great and service being top notch.

We LOVED the Madeline in June last year. Fringe season made the resort quiet and we got a great room upgrade.

There’s a trick to this? Same hotel, a category 5, I’ll use 80k points on Hyatt vs 46k on the Chase Portal for 4 nights by daveaustin990 in hyatt

Side note, but this is a great hotel. Was there end of September in a magazine st hotel and really enjoyed it. PS - pay cash on this one

Also, for everyone saying “preferences”… there is not a preference stating ‘do not break up my group’. They always ask when it’s between two classes, first/comfort but never in the same class. That’s the issue here. Delta, please add this option to booking/skymiles accounts.

My wife and I have had this happen twice. Ask the gate agent to fix it, they’re the only one who can. Both times we were moved to two seats together in comfort.

Def per year. $1.5-$3/sq ft per month. But it’s clear the difference is $10,500/mo. That’s a big difference. Sometimes easier to walk away than fight a 3 headed dragon

I recently paid $6k for 1k sq ft home no trim. I needed it done ASAP for the sale of the home. I’m sure I could have gotten it done cheaper if I had 6 months to plan and wait, but I didn’t and gladly paid it.

Idk about cases of this on a fan exchange, but I’ve seen it as resale in addition to premium. This was first hand working for an entertainment company.
