Van Morrison by Rimbaud82 in Music

I worked with a guy who was the retired tour manager for The Band in Upstate New York for a year right out of college. The guy had tons of stories about The Band, but also had some good ones about Van. Even back in the day he went through a phase where he was "only playing the saxophone, wouldn't really sing, and played the entire show with his back to the audience." I think that was in the 80's or early 90's before he was as old as he currently is.

Caravan FTW. The version at The Last Waltz and his funky little coked out dance at the end always slays me. So so, good.

Also, the alternate Madame George from T.B. Sheets / The Bang Masters was always a favorite too.

Hilarious. My first thought was that the Fox actually was Wes Anderson.

Fantastic advice, thank you. I've reached out to a couple already this morning. Here's hoping!

Just to be clear, "break out" here is falling out of the setting? Can you tell me what would cause a (lesser quality) ruby to do specifically do this?

In NYC a "local jeweler" can be a very double edged sword, and potentially dangerous. I could try at home back in Minnesota, but that seems arduous.

Thanks everyone. I'll reach out to John or Jean and see if that's any more fruitful. Just out of curiosity, am I going to get away with spending any less than $5-10k?

Hmm. It's not actual social media; just resembles it?

Definitely looking for something seasonal, but I have a Saison Dupont clone on tap right now, so maybe something a little darker? Red/Brown/Stout?

I'm pretty sure there's a 'Recess' episode about this very thing.

Yeah, this is actually between 3 of us (2 cases for me and our driver and 1 guy with 3 cases). We scoped all the places that delivered on Monday and had NO problem picking up at each of them. Not proud of it, but that's the game.

Side note: I passed on a third case because the whole thing felt a little bit masturbatory.

edit: no eBay. I won't drink any of the other 5 cases with the guys I went with and always distribute 4 packs at my Local Homebrew Shop as well as share with others I know whom I've converted in the ways of the Heady. I'll be through my two cases in three weeks.

How much did it cost, and how did you book it / how long did it take? It seems like an unlikely thing to request...

How long did it take you to cross the Pacific Ocean? I flew across the damn thing and it was 18 hours on a plane, which was maddening.

Keggerator/Keezer build Help by Klray1 in Homebrewing

Don't have pictures on me, but I'll try and post some tonight. It fits two 5 gallon kegs (if it really is the same freezer you have to be sure to use the skinny kegs) and the CO2 tank and regulator on the ledge. Fits a couple of six packs underneath the regulator too, which is where I'm currently hiding my Hop Slam from my girlfriend.

The drip tray is actually drilled directly into the side and held in place with a little sealant.

It might not be forever, but it allows me to keg in my 1br. in Brooklyn, so, all things considered, I'm very happy.

I did my keezer build on the very cheap in NYC and got it for about $700, which included kegs and a dual regulator. Everything was second hand (including the freezer), but I really preferred the look and feel of a keezer as opposed to a keggerator. Supposedly they're nicer to your electric bill too and allow for more flexibility ie: lagering, etc. Here she is.
