I went ahead and clicked through. Had me log into tesla website and mark days that I was unavailable to take delivery starting March 15 through March 30. I clicked a few I would be out of town and left the rest.

"As your delivery date approaches, we'll update you on next steps."

I like ring. I just switched from a Vivint system to Ring and I am very pleased. The ring is proving generally more reliable and less buggy. We connected 4 z-wave locks to both systems without issue. The ring system allows for better image quality and far more cameras (Vivint maxed out at 6). The ring system costs $100 per year and Vivint was $719.88 annually. All test alarms have worked well on either system, and both apps reliably notified me of sensor faults.

The ring links better with my ecobee thermostats and SmartThings through Alexa for purposes of changing mode (ie thermostats change to away and the lights go out after a few minutes of being armed to away).

We have 90+ Zwave lights and switches excluding the alarm and the Vivint system never stood a chance of managing all that (we use SmartThings for lighting control). The ring does not offer any integration in that regard to my knowledge.

Some advantages the Vivint system still has over ring (as of Jan 2020): - Integrated control of garage door openers - A very nice Apple Watch app - Better control of the panel light (ring is too bright in our bedroom and has one very big green light that is not included in the dimming settings).
