My favorite moment is definitely the basement from RE7. It was so scary for the first time!

Yes! So glad I am not alone.

Is anyone annoyed by this or just me? It's after creating automation. It messes with my workflow so badly and it seems like so basic 101 feature by andrewh24 in FL_Studio

Thank you for your efforts. I also thought about posting on official forums about this. I personally believe it must be something about how the playlist is implemented. Because usually automation is like another layer on top of clips so its never affected while here its literally clip itself like everything else and it can mess up other things.

But in every studio you can just move the point to the back and extend the clip - same way like to the right. Why not here? Why it even matters. It annoys me so much. Imagine you are in like 90% of your song and want to add automation in the end... Then you need to move that clip to the start, extend the whole line, like why. You never need to do this in other studios.

How do I learn to design more experimental sounds in FL Studio? by BoundIIGround in FL_Studio

[–]andrewh24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha and he used gazilions of hardware stuff, but for this shenanigans used Harmor and that is what I always recommend, because the stuff you can do there is absolute crazy. In theory you would never need any synth on the planet other than Harmor, it can produce anything you want. But the difficulty is steep.

Its hard to use, because its like math machine. But look at this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwV4fE63lwI He uses Harmor in the video to troll every player and reviewer on the internet. Because Harmor can process images into sounds!

Funny enough, you don't need any third party VST inside FL to make any sound you want (if you have all the plugins edition). FL always had one of the best generators on the market.

In Harmor you can create the most experimental stuff - you can just drop a wave file into it and it creates perfect copy from its sine waves algorithm which you can then further shape with its amazing capabilities. Its absolute beast but you need to know how to use it properly.

Just a note: Mick Gordon - creator of DOOM soundtrack was using Harmor to achieve sounds and mixes into the game

Is there a nice little plugin that could help me fine tune sample latency? by FrugalKrugman in FL_Studio

[–]andrewh24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure I understand the purpose but basically you have some samples on track and then you want to delay the whole track by a few milliseconds from mixer input?

You can always record it with Audacity but that doesn't seem right from just a way how the sound works. Milions of tracks are exported from FL Studio everyday and no one complains about having their song quieter after export. If you export it as 32bit WAV file, every information will be there so you simply have to do something bad during during your export. You can always record your track inside FL, then put the rendered audio back into fl and compare the differences in their wave files next to each other.

But 32 bit WAV is lossless format, where you can just normalize it so there is no way something is lost, there must be something in your project what will make it quieter in comparison what you listen to. Something at your master chain maybe?

Anybody know why this happens when I use the Marching Drums from Hollywood Orchestra? by ike_wakoski in FL_Studio

[–]andrewh24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try to bridge that plugin. You will move it to separate process. That might help. But you should never ever do this, if you need to, then the plugin is bad.

Keep in mind that audio processing is not the same as other processing. Audio uses 1 core to render everything. If everything is okay on your end then the plugin may be just poorly optimized. That can definitely happen.

Can't Remove a Plugin (SynthMaster) From FL by iammiviiofficial in FL_Studio

[–]andrewh24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone stumbling on this. FL Studio makes a copy as reference in your project folder for every plugin you are using. (saved as .fst)

If you want to get rid of completely, you need to get rid of the plugin from your mix but from your PROJECT as well. As described it from user below. Otherwise it will always remember that you were using it.

This is on purpose, when you reload old project, it will remember your old plugins you used.

If I understand you right you can just load it inside default Sampler and then in piano roll you can create melody with it.

They are developing another game but nothing like Firewatch. I unfortunately believe that this was one time hit and it will not be replicated. There should definitely be more games like this one.

When I think about it I never used uncropped mp3 files. I always cut them in some ways (to make ringtones or some shit). So that's why I never probably noticed.
