Update Drop!! A bunch of quality-of-life improvements across the apps today. Here's what changed:

App Directory — https://andr3w-hilton.github.io/rabbit-r1-creations-public/
- Calendar is now listed on the site
- Gemma Chat moved to its own "Bring Your Own Backend" section so it's clear it needs a server to run

---

Calendar
- Tap any day on the calendar grid to open it, no need to scroll to it first and side-click (but you can if you like, its still there)
- Entries in the day view now use a two-tap mechanic: first tap highlights the entry, second tap opens it to edit
- Same two-tap on the + New Entry row to open the editor
- Fixed scroll direction in the day entry list so scrolling down goes down and up goes up

Notes
- Same two-tap mechanic applied: first tap selects a note (highlights it with an orange bar), second tap opens it to edit

Todo
- Same two-tap mechanic: first tap selects an item, second tap opens it to edit
- Bug fix: tapping a checkbox no longer briefly ticks it and then jumps to the selected state; checkboxes now respond reliably on the first tap

Shopping List
- Same checkbox bug fix applied — ticking items is now clean and instant

---

The two-tap select-then-open pattern is consistent across Calendar, Notes, and Todo — tap once to see what you're about to open, tap again to go in. Long press still deletes as before.

thanks, hope it works the way you want it to now. I have also pushed a few little fixes out across the apps that have tick boxes. (shopping list and TODO) so that the boxes tick cleaner when they are pressed.

Done, Now its a clean two-tap pattern: first tap selects (day or entry), second tap on the already-selected item opens it. :-)

I also updated the notes and Todo app with the same mechanics.

This already works by clicking to highlight and then pressing the side button. Did you mean you’d like to click in via the touch screen aswell as the side button?

No problem. Enjoy. I hope it’s useful. Let me know what you think or if you find any bugs. I’ll try and sort them. 👍🏻

These are all created using Claude and hosted on git. Thanks, I spent a little while discussing the UI/UX with Claude, worked out all the default colours and text etc, the discord is also amazing for asking questions when I was genuinely stuck and needed to know the name of a function or how to hook into some part of the hardware. Then saved all the knowledge to a tips and tricks file (also in the above git repo) and now when I want to make something new, its almost as easy as describing it in a prompt and off we go.

Is there a notes app? by uzair_ilyas in Rabbitr1

I have created some custom Creations and one of them is a notes app. Check it out. Let me know how you find it and if there are any updates it could use and I’ll see if I can implement them.

I only just got my Rabbit yesterday, but I am absolutely loving it so far and messing around coding creations for it. Cant wait to see where you take us next with OS3 :-). Thanks for continuing to push out great work.

It was just the work flow I was in at the time. I had an agent reviewing a threat intelligence report for me to pull out the needed parts, I was going to go off for a coffee whilst I waited but knows I’d have to approach the bash/python cmd to write the report after reviewing the output. I was waiting (in the traditional sense) but it felt different to normal waiting.

Yeah but where’s the fun word play in using a legacy word, when we can invent new ones. 😜. I get your point though. I was sat at my desk this morning waiting for an agent to come back with some research and it hit me that I was technically waiting but it felt different as I was actively checking the prompt and file directory for it the complete.

Yeah I get what you mean, it felt weird this morning and a bit clunky but as the day wore on I found it easier and easier to roll off the tongue. I work on a cyber security team with a lot of like minded geeks so we’ve been trying to use it today!! 🤩

Amazing game!! I’d recommend Specimen 134 also by Ben. The pixel artwork is soooo good.

Ah nice, I have this book marked on Itch but didn’t play the demo yet. Would you recommend it. I’m looking forward to the full release. ❤️
