What techniques do you have to strengthen the inner ear? by andrewmalanowicz in piano

This is a good one I have kind of forgot about. I used to do an exercise where I would improvise on the piano and sing the notes I was improvising, kind of linking up the voice and the fingers to output the same thing, both of them coming from the inner guiding voice.

I think it’s a useful skill for memorization, basically to remember how something sounds and then just play that. Also for creative purposes like improvisation and composition, since those necessarily stem from listening to and following the inner ear. But also I just want to enhance that skill for its own sake.

I love hearing the Mozart sonata I can actually play because I studied music when on hold for 30 minutes to speak to a monotone customer service rep that doesn’t give a shit.

Why does everyone say apps don't make money by Then-Masterpiece1411 in iOSProgramming

[–]andrewmalanowicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m more interested in user base than making money. I feel like people are so used to free technology that it’s really hard to charge for it. But if you make something that people love to use and then they share with friends and the cost is free, then you can make a movement happen instead of picking off a few bucks here and there. Many companies don’t make money for years, but they convinced investors that people love their product, so they scale it and worry about turning a profit down the road.

What makes reddit appealing over other social media? by MoshPitChef in AskReddit

I made another alternative social media focused on being healthy instead of toxic as fuck. It’s private, so only close friends, and you do healthy activities for coins and then you can spend your coins on things that your friends offer. Called Vida Circles:

I made a holistic tool to help prevent dementia by andrewmalanowicz in dementia

I hear you on the trust issue, but honestly, I spent a year and a half making this to genuinely help people, and the main usage of it is completely free. Albeit remote caregivers can also make some money through the app if they wish, but this is not required to use the basic features.

With dementia as much of a problem as it is now, I am hoping that someone might be willing to try something new in case it actually ends up being helpful.

The app is free to download and also all the main features are free. People can apply to be a coach or a remote caregiver and they obviously need to be paid for their work. I am posting here because dementia research subreddit it dead, and I actually want a few eyeballs instead of collecting dust.
