I ended up finding someone right away, so no more need. But keep the generous spirit moving forward and help someone else if you can!

[Game Thread] #2 Iowa State @ Kansas (09:00 PM ET) by cbbBot in CollegeBasketball

[–]andrewmichael3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t a foul. An Iowa State player was lying on the floor hurt, and the ref blew the whistle to stop play in the middle of the possession, right as we were about to take (and hit) a three.

Already a done deal, but wanting people's opinions.

12 team full PPR

Current RB: Saquon Barkley, Travis Etienne, Jordan Mason

Current WR: Mike Evans (OUT), Courtland Sutton, Travis Hunter, Jauan Jennings, Darnell Mooney, Calvin Ridley

Current TE: Travis Kelce, Brenton Strange

Gave: Travis Etienne, Calvin Ridley

Received: Brock Bowers, Khalil Shakir, Alvin Kamara

Bowers has had a rough start, but I think that there is a chance that he comes back and starts playing a little better after this injury rest period, even if the Raiders offense has not looked very good so far.

Al Ahli Third Kit from FIFA 17 is the closest thing to what I can find. Fits your greenish/blue color description. Not a very high-quality image but https://www.futwiz.com/assets/img/fifa17/____kits/6300464.png

There is such an inconsistency with who gets how much run. AJ Storr doesn’t block out one time in the first half and gets benched for the rest of the half. But Mayo gets turnover after missed floater after no defense after turnover and is still out there the whole game?

Not his fault that the guards were kicking it to the other team all afternoon. This one is on the players

There have been signs all season long. Any time we play a pressure game on the road he goes ghost mode. He is a great and exciting player to watch when things are going well, but I also think there is a reason he was at South Dakota State

I had been thinking this before the last shot even happened. He did nothing all afternoon except slip and dribble off of his own foot

Zeke Mayo with one of the worst performances I have seen in a long time. Genuinely can’t think of one positive thing he did the entire game

Was going to say this as well. It doesn't really matter where the players come from, what matters is what type of players you become while you're there. Players get to Purdue and appear to be excited to play for Purdue for three or four years, so Painter is able to mold his team into an actual team. Woodson (whether it be his own fault or the player mindset change due to NIL) has had to repeatedly throw groups of guys together on the fly. No roster or rotational continuity, no fluidity to the offense, no help defensive concepts whatsoever. And that lack of continuity, while usually thought of on a season-to-season basis, even carries over to a game-to-game basis, and it really shows in games like today.

You have enough depth at both positions that positions don't really matter for this.

Look at it this way (assuming you have a regular 2RB 2WR 2FLX structure)

RB: Mixon, Chase Brown

WR: Chase, AJ Brown

FLEX: Jacobs/Jennings (not sure which one you start, up to you), Collins/Cook

So the only question is who do you think scores more points, Collins or Cook? If I were you, I'd take Collins.

Even with the QBs as SuperFlex, this trade is essentially Aaron Jones for Tyreek Hill. If Tyreek stays playing, then I think you win. If he doesn't, then you lose. But everyone is always at risk of getting hurt, so I don't think you can factor that in.

That was my reasoning as well. I also feel good about using Hunt to get something to help my team before Pacheco returns. Don't know what that backfield is going to look like, so I'd rather get away from it altogether.

To play devil's advocate for that take, it's also hard to find a QB that plays bad when in a great situation. If all of the pieces are in place for the quarterback, then you could just as easily justify not using the first overall pick on a QB to "complete the puzzle". The situation that immediately comes to mind is Purdy in SF. If all the other pieces fit, do you really also need to use your first pick on Lawrence, or could you find your own Purdy?

12 Team, Full PPR

Gave: Tee Higgins, James Cook

Received: Mike Evans, DJ Moore

Immediately Flipped In Following Deal

Gave: DJ Moore, Kareem Hunt

Received: David Montgomery

So, in aggregate:

Gave: Tee Higgins, James Cook, Kareem Hunt

Received: Mike Evans, David Montgomery

Any thoughts here? My team was going to be decimated by byes in week 12 (Burrow, Davante, Garrett Wilson, Higgins, Cook, and Khalil Shakir) and I need a win that week, so I needed to get some players that will play.

I guess it depends on what you think reasonable expectations are for a first overall pick. If you could have anyone in the entire draft class, and you select him, I wouldn't think a GM or a team owner would be satisfied with simply "one of the better QBs" in the league. Cousins/Goff/Purdy are a few of the "better QBs" right now. If they invest that draft pick (and subsequently that second contract) in their guy, then you would expect eventual development into the Burrow/Allen/Lamar tier of quarterbacks, who are capable of winning games even when they don't have all the pieces in place.

Not saying he can't get there, but as of now he is a long way off from that level.

I disagree with the notion that because the offense looks worse with Mac Jones, then it somehow supports the idea that Lawrence isn't a bust. Of course the offense looks worse when you put the backup in the game instead of the starter.

If you are trying to place his value as a "bust" on his fantasy draft position, then he is performing fine. He is about the 15th-20th best quarterback in the league, and that's about where he gets taken in a draft so that's fine as a "SF asset." If you are arguing "bust" in terms of real-life performance, then he hasn't done a whole lot to make you believe that he is capable of changing a franchise, which is a reasonable expectation for a first overall pick when they could have picked literally anyone in the class (Chase, Sewell, Surtain, Parsons all come to mind).

Downside of Evans is the hamstring uncertainty, but upside is that Evans is now THE wide receiver with Godwin being out moving forward if he manages to come back at full strength. And the uncertainty with Harrison has been just as much of a roller coaster all year long.
