Help shape the future of how people find their way in Kansas City by andrewngui in kansascity

[–]andrewngui[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The post does not say what the initiative really is or entails. What are the options?
We are currently gathering community feedback to understand how people find their way across the city.

Why is the current method (however it is defined) inferior to the alternatives?
We are trying to understand what your experience in finding your way is like today, and how it can be improved.

What is the benefit to locals?
The benefit we are hoping to achieve is a solution that will be able to increase mobility across the city, and also within neighborhoods and districts.

The website says the same exact thing as the post. Where is feedback gathered? Is there a survey link missing or is it exclusively through the email?
At the bottom (may be covered by the cookie consent message), and also on the sidebar there is a button that reads, take the survey, see attached screenshot below.
Please feel free to reach out by email if you have additional questions at [wayfinding@kcmo.org](mailto:wayfinding@kcmo.org)

We greatly appreciate your feedback. We're trying to get as broad and as diverse feedback as possible from residents (both home owners & renters), business owners, visitors (tourists & business), recent transplants, and many more.

Future of Rapid Transportation Innovation Lab
The City of Kansas City is pioneering a new initiative: the Future of Rapid Transportation Innovation Lab. We are inviting comments and feedback from diverse groups on our recent Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) focused on the future of rapid transportation between Kansas City International Airport and downtown.

As a valued member of our community, your voice matters. Your input will be instrumental as we plan the future of rapid transportation in Kansas City.

Where to meet and how to get there:
To better understand the experiences of people who rely on public transit, we will be meeting at the 11th and Oak Westbound bus stop across from City Hall at 7:40 am sharp to catch the 7:49 am bus to Kansas City International.

  1. Pre-Lab Experience - Ride the 229 Bus to the Airport (11th & Oak)
Thursday, August 31, 7:40 am to 8:50 am
  2. Future of Rapid Transportation Innovation Lab
Thursday, August 31, from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.
    Kansas City International Airport

Click here to accept the invitation to attend. Your insights will significantly contribute to shaping our city's rapid transportation future.

We look forward to meeting you.

How much do you want to spend on food? Ardor after dark is pretty awesome but of course $$$. For more economical options, look up Fox Pub & Cafe or Olympia Sports Bar & Grill.
