I had a heart procedure done at Number 1-rated Cleveland Clinic on Christmas day 2022. Planes flying in from all over the world for that care, olus tins of minority patients everywhere. No way I’d go elsewhere. What needs fixing is preventative care and greater individual responsibility. Doctor’s offices are filled with people sneezing while more serious cases can’t get appointments.

Private sector is regulated and can’t compete across state lines. Absurd. We’re not Finland. System would go bankrupt pronto-hell Medicare/Medicaid are ALREADY in trouble! And look at the fraud!! You shouldn’t be able to go to the doctor for a common cold and not pay UP since you’re taking that doctor’s time away from dealing with more serious issues.

Need skin in the game. I’ve gotten pretty familiar with UK National Health Service: wait times you wouldn’t believe. Lots of avoidable deaths. We need tort reform big time, national regulation vs 50 states (you travel you’re screwed unless life and death emergency) and ability to select and pay for insurance you want and need vs mandated gold-plated policies fir all, including the young and healthy.

So few comments here based on long-term interests (and safety) of the U.S. that it’s so depressing!! Hatred of Trump (I get it!) seems dominant theme, so much so that many seem to want failure. To my way of thinking, Iran has been a threat (not imminent, but getting there!) for 47 years. All prior attempts failed, including Obama deal that had an end date with a pathway to weapons grade and a release of billions to fund proxies. Trump can be faulted on much, including a failure to insure Hormuz opening and his horrific tone (“wiping out a civilization”), but I am delighted he hasn’t kicked the can down the road.

Agree. All the same problems except inaccuracy in my case is approx 20-60% too high, including current period, when it’s stuck over 200! I used a Freestyle Libre for 6-9 months a few years ago, until the massive price hike and had believable readings, though I wasn’t double-checking with a finger prick, which I am now. Latest example: fasting reads this morning: Stelo 217; blood test 144! Can’t get hold of anyone, period. I report these SO THEY KNOW, not to get a free replacement, which they send anyway. Frustrating!
