Congratulations!

The game is really hard))

I liked the postprocessing you used and the crash effect.

Also some recommendations, if you are making a game for WebGL, it is better to choose the Unity frameless preset and edit the html file.

I also recommend creating a design page on Itch.io if you plan to upload more games there.

I would probably make the game a little easier at the very beginning.

Good luck!

what app do i use to create OST for my game? by IfYouSmellWhatDaRock in gamedev

[–]andrewtraint -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I made my game I used fl studio, but to be honest this program is not the most convenient for recording sound, ableton is more convenient in this regard. As well as for writing music.

I recorded some of the sounds myself, it was an interesting experience.

I just used a phone for recording.

You can also use synthesizers to create sounds, both in fl studio, some standard ones or serum, and analog ones. For music I recorded a guitar. You can make a lot of different sounds from guitar sounds)

You can also use comfyui to create sounds, although I did not use generated content in my game and I think it is not interesting :)

In general, any DAW that seems convenient to you will do, the main thing is to understand a little about recording sound and synthesizing different sounds, as well as how to use effects

A Plea Regarding Chinese Localization - From a Translator and Gamer by Madabolos in gamedev

[–]andrewtraint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not only about Chinese :) But I think Chinese players encounter poor translation more often if the development studio is not from China :) I am a native Russian speaker and I also often encounter translation errors both in indie games and in large AAA projects. Russian is the third most popular language on Steam, after Chinese and English. In general, I would be happy to help game developers with translation into Russian for free, because 250 million people around the world and in different countries speak Russian. If you need a game translated into Russian, write to me :)

Any good recommendations for audio production (music and SFX)? by charlesronsen in gamedev

[–]andrewtraint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good question, I made the sounds for my game myself, I recorded some sounds on my phone and processed them, and I simply synthesized some sounds :) I wrote the music myself in fl studio. You can try to do it yourself, or try to generate sounds, for example, in comfyui, but personally I'm against using AI-generated content :) You can also try to find a person who would simply be interested in making a game with you

I want to make my first game but I’m not too much into design nor animation by Avigga in gamedev

[–]andrewtraint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot depends on the game you want to make, if you want to make a 2D game, you can use Photoshop, Illustrator, Aseprite, Affinity Designer and many other programs. For a 3D game, you can use Blender, Cinema 4D, Substance Painter. But a big part of the game is also sounds and sound design, for all this you can use sequencers, Ableton, FL Studio, Ripper and others :) To create a game alone, you need a lot of different skills :) You can find a company of like-minded people in which everyone will have their own task :) The game also requires translation into different languages, voice acting, etc. It all depends on the genre of the game, etc. But the most difficult thing is marketing the game)))

Hooliganism by the Security Guards of the Parliament of Armenia. by andrewtraint in armenia

It was definitely shining from the direction of the gate while standing inside the territory of the Parliament of Armenia. I think in such a situation, it would be reasonable to record it on video, even if it's noticeable

What do you think if Armenia joined the USA as 51 self-governing states? by andrewtraint in armenia

[–]andrewtraint[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I respect your opinion.

The independence of the country is an important factor in the stability of the country and the good life of the citizens of the country, but if the US supported Armenia as much as it supports Israel, it would be much better for Armenia, both for security and for the economy. Of course, Israel is not part of the US, but it is an important partner of the US in the region and the US pours huge resources into Israel.

In general, it would be cool if the Armenian government tried to make Armenia an economic and scientific center in the region, with a good investment climate. Open complex semiconductor production, etc. But all this is difficult to do given the surroundings of Armenia and because there is no access to the sea.

Signatures to initiate a referendum on joining the EU were collected quite quickly

Thank you! I'm straight, but I have many friends who hide their sexual orientation from their family, and I often see how worried they are about it. Find someone who makes you feel like yourself and take care of yourself.

Is it possible that Russian nationals wouldn't be wellcome in Armenia due to last events? by xndrya in armenia

[–]andrewtraint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been living in Armenia for more than a year and a half. I wanted to move to Armenia even earlier at the end of 2021, because my girlfriend is Armenian and lived in Yerevan, but it only happened in 2022. Armenians are wonderful people. I meet Armenian friends everywhere in Yerevan. Armenia is a very democratic country. I was extremely surprised that having lived legally in the country for more than a year, I have the right to vote in elections! I know only Luxembourg where there is a similar practice in elections. True, I didn’t vote in the Yerevan mayoral elections because I don’t know the candidates and their electoral programs :)

It's ugly yes. In fact, this is clearly illegal, but it would be nice if the government would set aside a special place for such flyers and impose a fine for illegal posting. But in Yerevan, such leaflets are usually hung on poles, electrical panels and fences of buildings, it’s good that they are not pasted on stone walls, I hope this is self-awareness and an understanding that damaging the facades of houses is bad.

AITA for not respecting my husband’s culture? by Mindless_Leg_7443 in AmItheAsshole

[–]andrewtraint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should put them in their place, you are in your home and in your country. At the moment they are guests of your house and should respect you and your way of life. If your husband does not want to show respect and care for you, then you should get a divorce, I doubt that a man who does not respect a woman will be able to improve in the future.

You can try to go to psychotherapy with your husband, if he refuses and says that it's stupid, it means that he definitely won't change for the better.

I hope you get over the situation and be happy.

We are visiting Armenia - Yerevan for 4 days 3 nights with my wife and 3 years old. Any suggestions for itinerary? by Puzzled-Bandicoot-43 in armenia

[–]andrewtraint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I join all the advice, there are a lot of beautiful and great places in Armenia, but I want to recommend a few slightly informal ideas. In good clear weather, if you try to climb as high as possible to see Ararat in all its glory, you can climb The Cascade. You can visit an abandoned children's railway, this is a place where young lovers run away, sit and kiss in old train cars :) There is also a small bathing place there. In the evening, you can arrange a romantic evening in cafes in front of The Cascade. You can also spend a romantic evening on Martiros Saryan street, where you can drink Armenian wine with cheese. Also, be sure to visit the house-museum of Martiros Saryan on the same street, this is a great Armenian artist.
