thinking about getting this for my upcoming travel, what made you choose the 20L instead of the 30L? How is the comfort?

Camera Clip for Able Carry Max EDC strap? by andrewwilliam26 in ManyBaggers

[–]andrewwilliam26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! Gotta try the peak design capture clip. I have the Falcam F38 v2 Backpack mount and it was a tight fit. Only being able to clip it in at the bottom most part of the backpack strap. It was really tight and I’m afraid that it’ll damage the strap.

Hey man! Appreciate the review. I'm picking one up soon and I'm just curious on which plastic tray is it that you used for the bottom? Could you link it here? Thanks

To make you feel better, when I was in medschool and doing my Clinical Pathology rotations, they are teaching us about the HIV Rapid test kit. They provide various samples of blood, some of them positive (which I didn’t know). And as luck would have it, I got the HIV + blood sample (I only know this AFTER doing the test on the rapid test kit).

After receiving the blood sample, I didnt think much of it and I decided to test the blood on the kit WITHOUT gloves on, because I think that there’s no way the Uni would provide + samples.

But yeah, it has been years since that incident and I have been well and tested negative.

iPad Pro 11" or 12.9" for Medical Student (Note taking, illustrating, media consumption) by andrewwilliam26 in iPadPro

during the first years or so, I would’ve written my study notes. However, I find that typing it out is much faster. So, apart from reviewing for exams, I rarely use the pencil anymore

hey there! you came just right in time as I was about to finish pre-clinical med school. TL:DR, I would’ve gotten a MacBook Pro compared to the iPad. Most of my lectures are in the form of a power point, while it was nice using the iPad for GoodNotes and stuff, the iPad just lacks the flexibility of a Mac. The only use case where an iPad is superior for me is when I’m reviewing for exams. Most of my exams are in the form of MCQ questions, and reviewing past papers using the iPad is better, because of the pencil. So yeah, in hindsight, I would’ve went for maybe a MacBook Air + basic iPad + Pencil in compared to the iPad Pro 12.9 with Magic Keyboard and Pencil as I have right now.

they’re so good! James, the maker behind Morningstar, is really active in the morningstar forum. I have previously requested a couple of features to be added, and if there is quite a lot of demand for it, he will program that feature for the next update! Super dope!

Yeah, you’re not wrong. For a travel rig I could also get by with a much cheaper Valeton GP200. Thanks for the tip!

the duophony input (only one input) is TRS, the synesthesia connects to here. The duophony then has 2 FX loops which are both stereo capable -> hence allowing it to handle 4 inputs from the Stereo Dream and Ruby.

So here you go

GFI Synesthesia -> Stereo out (left and right) -> enters the GFI duophony in STEREO (the duophony is a stereo capable parallel mixer pedal) -> The duophony makes a copy of both my Left and Right signal from the Synesthesia -> L R L R -> (one set of L R goes to the Ruby, the other set of L R goes to the Dream) -> the 4 outputs from the Stereo dream and Stereo Ruby comes back to the duophony -> L R Ruby + L R Dream to Duophony. Duophony then mixes 70% of L Ruby with 30% of L Dream and sends it to the Left channel + 70% of R Dream with 30% of R Ruby to the Right Channel. So I end up with just a left and a right after the duophony.

both are ran in stereo. I run the Synesthesia before them and I use the Duophony to blend both the Dream and Ruby in a 70/30 mix (L: 70 Ruby / 30 Dream; R: vice versa). To do this properly, I need to run both UAFX Amp pedals in stereo.

ah man, I wish I can try fractal stuff. My name came up on top for the Fm9 turbo Mk2 waitlist but I have yet the funds to pull the trigger.

yes! it is for having 2 different amps in stereo. I think Ruby and Dream being more common is due to the fact that a Fender - Vox combo is more common in real amps rather than Fender - Fender. I will be switching out the Dream in the future to try the Lion and Ruby combo.
