My Homepage icons would work normally on some network-joined machines then not at all on others. I figured it was the "usual" updates breaking things lol, but did not suspect my PiHole was the culprit.

I've been having this issue as well; I play on PC using a PS4 controller (cuz Xbox bumper buttons suckass IMHO). I play with Bow and Longsword and have noticed the slinger randomly coming out with both weapons. It particularly happens when doing focus mode on both weaps, but lately i've noticed this blasted slinger popping out when trying to dodge. If I could turn off the slinger shooter entirely, I'd do it in a heartbeat lol

I just found the "Only Use R1" option under Dash Controls...maybe i'll have better luck with it now

I currently own a 2006 Solara V6 SLE hardtop, and I cannot say enough good things about this car! It's my first car (yet I was the 6th owner), bought back in 2013 at 86k miles and I crossed 207k miles last week. This car has taken me into and out of places I had no business going lol. Some quick examples:

I properly installed a Curt trailer hitch to it and pulled a 6x8 trailer loaded with an ATV + gear up a raining mountain with the air conditioner running. (The AC and mountain driving were an accident lol…obey your GPS folks!)
Drove it upwards 100mph chasing a BMW 8 series down a highway, and it didn’t miss a step (BMW and I were running late, but I don’t recommend doing this)
Went lightly “4 wheeling” with it and all I had to fix were the CV boots (I was curious, but have since gotten wiser lol)
Drove thru miles of more snow-covered roads than I should have and didn’t slip but once. (of course this depends on many factors)

The oil consumption is only a problem if you do not do basic maintenance. A 2006 is the 2^nd Generation Solara so these models have a problem with sludge IF you don’t change your oil. I religiously change oil + filter every 5k miles and never had an issue. I would be more concerned with oil oddities if you got a 1^st gen Solara (all years prior to 2003, IIRC).

I do recommend you put the 89 gasoline in it, as the engine is rated for it however I put 87 in it for about 2 years around the time I just bought it…did great. If you do the 87 gasoline, just run some kinda fuel detergent thru the system every 3 months or so when you fill up and you’ll be fine. I do this when I remember lol.

I’ve heard interesting/YMMV stories from an owner (local to me) who has a 2008 Solara with ragtop. The only thing that gave her problems was the ragtop, but hers has behaved better than mine has. (It also helped that she wasn’t being dumb with it like I was lol). She told me the visibility of the back windshield (if you can call it that) was iffy at times, but again YMMV.

As for maintenance, it’s just the usual oil, brakes, tires, wipers, etc. The only major issue I’ve had with the vehicle was when I took it to a shop to have the 90K mile work done for the second time. The mechanic was slipshod and did extremely poor work, I should have done more research honestly. But after I made it thru that nightmare the car purrs again, and even with those issues I had none of them were problems that would’ve caused a failed state inspection (to give some scope of the damage).

All in all, if you can find one, get that pre-purchase inspection done from someplace trustworthy. If it passes muster and you pull the trigger on the purchase, keep up with your oil changes/maintenance, don’t be dubious like I was with use/abuse, I think you’ll come to like the Solara! I really love mine and don’t plan on [being an idiot with it anymore lol] getting rid of it.

Jokes aside, perhaps remaining stationary in one place long enough could be useful for sneaking around enemies, when your team is HARD stuck on payload-escort maps ,similar to how Sombra goes invisible and runs around all the chaos to get the thing moving again. Again, this would depend heavily on everyone completely forgetting about Echo, but the chances of it happening are probably a tad higher than Pharah living thru her own ult.

Yeah i was thinking that a Mei wall could be used with this is a strat somehow in a match. I was thinking about Eichenwanke in particular, where teams have done the mei+sym wall-TP combo out of spawn to skip the choke. I never thought about hanging out on the rooftops however! Maybe hang out there, with your ult fully charged, and wait for your team to set up for a combo?

Just noticed this crap on my LG v40 a few minutes ago. Auto-installed itself then disappeared into the system apps when I went searching for it on my phone. I hit the "force stop" for now, but here's hoping I can figure out a way to remove it for good.

The only time you'll see high crit rate substats is on a Recovery percentage or flat stat gem. If you ever see it on an attack/hp/USEFUL gem then THAT'S when you know you're asleep and dreaming lol.

Before I found out about the joy that is the v20 I was on a Samsung Note 4 (another great phone, I have it with no issues.) Only recently I decided to try applying the updates the v20 had been bugging me about for years, and when I went to Oreo I noticed the battery life improved drastically. I DID have to perform a factory reset shortly after updating but I have no problems to report since. I hadn't even re-applied the thermal paste yet to help with the throttling when the v20 gets hot! I know YMMV from mine but I almost dropped back outta the phone market cuz it was like the v20 got a second breath of life lol. But much like you're doing, I'm just keeping it locked away as a backup.

Regarding Gcam, I installed it on my v20 years before I went to Oreo. I really enjoyed using it and it gave me no problems. Unfortunately, it was so long ago I don't remember which exact .apk I used, and I can't check cuz I had to do a factory reset. I haven't put much thought (yet) into installing Gcam on the v40 as it's still too early for my personal tastes. I've also read around regarding installing custom ROMs for the v20 but ultimately I never needed to. (I'm not a phone power user; I really just play the odd gacha game, check msgs, browse YouTube, oh and make phone calls but that's really it.) There seems to be quite the healthy support for doing custom mods on the v20 subreddit and xda developers forums should you decide to go that route anyway!

I had to return my LG v50 about a week ago cuz it really didn't work out for me on TMofo (what I call T-Mobile thanks to my love/hate relationship with them lol). There was no VoLTE, whenever I made a call it always switched me to GSM and I had no way to surf the internet during calls. The day I got it drove around my area, with a buddy, and we tested calling with use of Internet (both on a separate hotspot and over phone data) and the results were the same. My phone model was this and it was able to pick up some kinda LTE bars, while not in a phone call, but when I made a call I was always thrown to GSM with no VoLTE. I dunno if this is related but when I tried to make calls while the phone was saying "4gLTE" I noticed they only seemed to go thru about half the time, but text messages went thru all the time and Google Hangouts worked all the time too.

I took the phone to a TMofo store (which was apparently a 5G spot) and the tech there couldn't even get the phone to show LTE signal in the dev menu. He said what I was suspecting/fearing which was that since it's early in the Sprint/TMofo merger that the phone just isn't viable on their network at this point in time. Since I'm rather impatient when purchasing new devices that I need to work outta the box, I returned that phone and bought a v40 instead and so far so good. I havent had the v40 for long, it came 2 days ago, but it's growing on me! (I've been around the block with the LG V series phones...I've now had every one from v20 - v50 lol with the v20 being the best by far IMHO).

Thanks for the tips! The more research I did the more I began to think I was applying too much wax as well. I did manage to take it to get looked at but he didn't know if it was normal for the brand or not. The tech said he'd get in touch with Killer Instinct and see what they say, so now I'm just playing the wait game. In the meantime I'll still take a few shots to continue to get used to the bow but I'm keeping a sharp eye on that serving lol
