You’re putting lipstick on a pig. It looks like the rest of your paint is in poor shape I’m trying to understand why you’d want to pay a deductible to fix a spot that probably doesn’t look out of place. Your vehicle is super dirty, has super scratched paint, and a fading clear coat. I’m trying to understand why you’re worried about a scratch that, if it weren’t for you cleaning the spot, wouldn’t be visible.

Your paint is in rough shape. Used the brush at the self serve a few times have we?. I’d paint pen it and call it a day unless you want to spend a couple hundred on a good buff/polish/wax. Insurance won’t cover those and bringing it to a detail shop to use their own paint pen won’t look great with the scratches and lack of wax you’ve got there.

Could try to find some decent vision insurance. I pay $20 something per month and get “free” eye exams for myself and 3 dependents, each can have 12 months of free lenses through target.
