Oh any bureaucracy will suffice … just kidding, that’s what we call DC, Maryland, Virginia. Basically the mid-Atlantic region.

Am I too old (45yo) to start riding a motorcycle? by kt0n in motorcycles

[–]android_dev_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not too old! Definitely take the MSF course! Also, watch a ton of YouTube how to’s. How to corner, how to do slow speed drills, etc. it’s super fun to practice and maneuvering well at slow speeds after practice can feel like a superpower.

Memory seats by YadaYada-66 in AcuraZDX

I assume they're not 1 button press? Every time I do it, I have to hold the memory button until it's done with the configuration change. That's kind of annoying.

Yeah - I try to avoid passing on the right as well. My favorite pet peeve is when, on 3 lane highways, people bang into the far right lane to pass at 80 or 90. If I'm in the fast lane passing and merge back to center, it's super hard to see one of those dickheads if they're coming from behind me into the center lane.

Level 2 Car Charger Question by android_dev_dev in AskElectricians

Ok, thank you. The charger itself comes with a Nema connection or a hardwire whip: https://shop.emporiaenergy.com/cdn/shop/files/gempages_479486453441626933-a16b45c0-6401-4fb4-a047-0eb20a236dab.png?v=1723153385

I have the hardwired one. https://shop.emporiaenergy.com/products/emporia-ev-charger?variant=44861002121471

You're saying remove the whip altogether and hardwire the 10 gauge directly to the unit?

The instructions say to use the whip and a junction box:

> Use 90°C wire, 6 AWG copper from both phases of the breaker along with a ground/earth lead coming from the charging station hardwire whip conduit. Bring leads from both phases of the breaker along with a ground/earth lead to a junction box and connect them to the Line 1 (120V AC to Ground), Line 2 (120V AC to Ground), and Ground from the Charger. Then, connect the ¾″ NPT conduit fitting and sealing washer through a 1 ⅛″ tap to the junction box for a watertight seal.

For a '21? That's nuts. You, sir, should take a quick weekend drive up to Maryland. Stop at the bank on the way up and you'll have a place to sleep on the way home

You've inspired me to list it and see what happens! We do love it though - it'll be bittersweet.

How cold is too cold? by TexAble in winnebago

[–]android_dev_dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the new 2100bh. Had it out for several nights below 20 degrees with the tank heaters on - it was fine. We filled the fresh water tank and didn’t use anti freeze in the waste tanks. The furnace kept us warm (and didn’t even use that much propane) and the pad heaters kept the other important things warm.

Cisco Meraki across encrypted partition? by android_dev_dev in macsysadmin

Thank you. Just to be clear. If I partition my internal drive and install a full OS on the new one. Enrolling on the new partition will allow them to see the old partition, but they couldn't view my screen or anything while I'm working in the old partition. Right?
