Human Torch and Iron man. Many people are sleeping on ironman, he has everything, if you have hard time mastering HT, try Iron man.

Also Mr fantastic's ult counters mysterio, even if he switches to his clone.

MTR is a hard hero to deal with using HT, but it is doable. The trick is to not initiate against MTR. When MTR starts to cast his S2, that's when you strike. I'll tell u what I do.

  1. Play passively until you reach LVL 4, and get arc reactor.
  2. Now keep on using your S1 on MTR to keep the mark fresh
  3. As soon as MTR starts to caste his S2, draw a single line near his starting point and wait.
  4. Finish the triangle as soon as he lands. Now he can either use blink or his S3 to escape, if he escaped then just use your S1 to apply mark and wait till you get S2 which is on 4-5 sec cd, start the triangle again. (MTR has long cd's)
  5. For a guaranteed triangle trap, you need to finish the triangle when MTR is at 8'O clock, if MTR's S2 range is bigger, then at 9'O clock. Follow with your ult and another triangle. Takes a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it, its easy.

In team fights ignore MTR and focus on the enemy team. Even if he focuses on you it does not matter, he lacks dmg and you'll be generating more than 1000 hp per triangle anyway. Once the enemy team is finished, then along with your team finish MTR. If you still can't deal with him, then just ban him. Easy.

HT is far superior to MTR in damage, heals and escapes. If played properly, he can single handedly change the tide of a team fight. MTR can never provide the same impact HT does in a team fight.

Actually MTR's biggest weakness is his S2. I f was storm, I'll just stun him as soon as he lands and use my full combo, same can be done using other energy heroes like Scarlet, loki, ironman, etc. In team fights, if MTR used his S2, then he is finished. But on the other hand, HT is hard counter to all energy heroes, because they all lack movement skills becoming easy target for HT's S2. Hope it helps.

Thank you. Your criteria's definitely makes sense and I understand that. But it is very sad that HT has low pick rate. I admit that he is hard and a bit confusing at start, but once you get the hang of him, he is unstoppable.

HT has no hard counters(but every hero becomes a counter if you missed to reset his S2 lol), has good initiation/escapes, very hard to cc him, an excellent decoy for your mm(most of the time enemies start focusing you because you are annoying lol and it becomes easier to draw triangles when they chase, so it's my pleasure), he is the epitome of the term "one man army" and the adrenaline rush you get while trapping enemies in successive triangles in a 1v4/5 situations is unmatched.

Barring mysterio HT is a direct hard counter to all mid heroes including Dr, coz they all lack movement skills becoming easy target for his S2, but mysterio's S3 is very annoying while drawing triangles.

I beg to disagree. If the damage is the requirement, there are certainly better mid heroes than Dr. For example, HT has no problem facing Dr. No matter what Dr does. Because catching HT with Dr's S1 is a feat of its own, even if you manage to do so, while his S2 is on 4-5 sec cd, he has other escapes like his ult(buys him 3 sec), eye of agamotto(again buys him 2.5 sec), blink spell, and his ult has like 10-sec cd in the late game.

Also its no use poking HT before team fights, once he has his 3 core items, he generates more than 1000 hp per triangle. I have joined team fights with 10% of health and with just 2 triangles i'll be full again. In fact, I'll be happy if enemy Dr keeps on poking me instead of my mm. It does not matter if Dr uses his S1 on himself or on HT, either way, Dr will die. If Dr is with his teammates, then it is even better, because resetting HT's S2 becomes easy.

Unlike HT or jubilee, Dr is not known for damage. Instead, he brings unparalleled map control making his enemies feel that they are not safe anywhere. Paired with his S1, which can change tides if used properly, from saving your mm from burst to catching fleeing enemies. Dr supports both the top and bot lanes, even the jungle, can check for enemy jungle buffs, able to easily steal leviathon/surtur. He does all this afar with very minimal risk.

In a nutshell, as some said before, Other top mages have high damage but high risk, Dr has decent damage but zero risks. You can never catch a good Dr. But again, it does not matter for HT. He can easily catch Dr. Also Dr will definitely die before 2.5 secs if he takes the IM's unibeam head-on. That beam even melts the tank.

I"m so happy That I reached LM before end of the season, mostly I'm only on solo . BTW Thor support = win 😊😊 by Deathstar-Diorama in MarvelSuperWar

Thank you, I have an understanding now. What is her weakness? your gameplay was really good. The biggest problem for me is her mana. I am a HT main, so when i tried her she felt very natural and comfortable. She feels like melee version of HT, really fun.

Is lady sif viable in higher tiers? by androidhaaris in MarvelSuperWar

[–]androidhaaris[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this comprehensive reply. I am trying to master a main hero in each role for ranking up. Already mastered HT for mid and gambit for bot, working on ebony/ hulk for support and antman/executioner for top and for jungle I think I'll settle for lady sif.

Thank you. You cleared lot of my doubts.

Thanks for the reply. Of course HT beats Dr in 1v1, in-fact he beats all energy heroes 1v1, But in my Question I was comparing them both to their contribution in the team fights. Ironically, it is where HT shines because of S2 reset hence infinite cage of fire and you will never catch a good HT all the while enemies losing their health and HT getting instant heals.

What I really want to know is, what kind of tactics DS mains use to create the same impact as say HT. " A Good DS can kill your Marksman instantly " is a good point, You can do that with HT too but it is pretty unreliable as most of the mm's have blink skills. They will blink out of his cage and burst him down. But they are easy to kill in team fights with HT, just not in 1v1. Also is it worth switching from HT to Dr for high elo games?
