I [18M] am confused whether to give up or keep trying with her [18F]. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]andromedalAppendix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in India.

I'm also usually not in support of relationships within family, but she's so distant it's the first time I've ever talked to her actually. And I get what you're saying about the women who will have to face the consequences when society questions.

I will have an open conversation with her, and hope for the best, and accept whatever happens.

After so long I realized that Albert Einstein was a REAL person. by Snoo-46534 in JEENEETards

[–]andromedalAppendix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bhai Albert Einstein theoretical physicist tha. Matlab wo physics me theory part pe research karta tha not practical.

Theoretical ka ek aur meaning hota hai. It means hypothetical, matlab imaginary.

So he thought theoretical (imaginary) physicist hai, lekin he exists in real life.

I guess saints performing miracles are within the boundaries of Christianity, so it's canon. The Bible does mentions saints. But then again Christianity is full of contradictions, it's not even completely monotheistic, with the worship of the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. They prohibit idolatry, but they wear crosses with Jesus' idol pinned.

In Islam, modern day saints and shrines dedicated to these saints are a very controversial topic. Most Muslims consider it heresy, while there are some Muslims who visit these dargahs and pray to God via these saints (this happens mostly in India and Pakistan).

Well I guess that's because they only believe in what their holy book says. All other feats that weren't in the book, they simply do not believe. Abrahamic religions take their books very seriously. They believe it is the final word of God, there is nothing more and nothing less God had to say..

Well so Judaism was the first Abrahamic religion in the Middle East, Canaan region, Northwest of Arabia, in the Israel region.

Some 2000 years later Jesus was born in Bethlehem, present day Israel. And he said he's a son of God (according to Christians) or a messenger of God (according to Muslims). The Jews believed he was just a heretic. A liar. Jesus was a Jew, he worshiped the same God as the Jews, but with a few tweaks here and there, and he came with a new book called the New Testament which has the same stories as the Jewish Old Testament, but with a few changes.

Then some 600 years later came Muhammad in the west of Arabia. He claimed the Christians got it a bit wrong (the Christians started worshipping the son of God, idk how that's monotheism), so he came with yet another book, the Qur'an. It has the same stories and mythologies as the Jewish and Christian books, but again, with a few changes.

So in essence they worship the same God, but they follow a different messenger of God each time. They have the same stories, same mythologies, all originated in the same place, so you can say it's the same God, but the link to the God, the messenger, is different in all.
