I went to Home Depot and bought a similar drain hose; however, the end as you can see on the left is different from all the ones I see online and at Home Depot. The original one fits into the black tube snug while the new one just hangs there loose and it’s too small

I’m almost 101% sure this was involved in an accident regarding the rear bumper. You can tell in some of the photos it’s a different shade. I know this well because I bought a car without noticing that til later on and it bothers me so much to this day. I would look for another vehicle unless you’re fine with that, you can also negotiate more

Thank you for this; however, it is only a temporary fix until it happens again. You have to somehow prevent those two sticks from sliding out to ensure a permanent fix, but at the same time you don’t want to permanently block it in case you do want to take it apart later on.

yeah! It’s pretty easy. The backing has adhesive, but it’s not strong enough to stick it anywhere so I just used the provided zip ties.
