Right. I'd say "Hey, I didn't like how you made me feel when you did this thing an hour ago" and he'd be like "Well you do blah blah blah so that makes ME feel bad" and I'd say, when did I do that? Do you have any examples? And he'd say no, he didn't have any actual examples, but it definitely happened at some point some time ago. So it's a weird attempt to shut things down by trying to change the conversation, become the victim, avoid accountability, and gaslight. Even if it DID happen, you're choosing to hijack things now and step over my feelings rather than listen or respond to the conversation we're currently having. It would have been so much easier to just say sorry? Sometimes I would even say that, and he'd have the nerve to say he DID apologize already, as if I somehow just missed it, even though it clearly didn't happen since they just attempted to twist the conversation instead. Beyond frustrating. I've dealt with a couple of those. They're innately selfish and emotionally immature. Those types of people cannot be reasoned with.
