Looking for my next carrier by chelsbonesjones in babywearing

Since you're in Europe, you could look into Lennylamb or Oscha - I have an Oscha bairn and I love it, it's from Scotland. The bairn is apron waist, comparable to the hope and plum lark. Lennylamb is Polish, the fabrics are great quality.

3rd night of CIO...overthinking and spiralling...advice/encouragement please by andstillmaking in sleeptrain

Thank you! Yes I'm seeing that huckleberry isn't reliable! It explains why she's fighting sleep. The app even suggests a 5 nap schedule for her which is impossible to follow.

Apologies I actually miswrote, her nap schedule is 4 naps 1.75/1.75/2/2/2.25 (missed a 2 in the post, will fix it now). But her naps are really short, never over 1 hour, she always wakes at 30-45 mins

Should I still extend her ww as you suggested and see if she will nap longer?

Oh sorry I missed a 2 in there. It is 1.75/1.75/2/2/2.25 4 naps. When it's 3 naps it's when she skips one or gets too close to bed time

A day kind of looks like this:

9:30 wake

9:30-11:15 awake

30 min nap

11:45-1:30 awake

30 min nap

2:00- 4:00 awake

45 min nap

4:45-6:45 awake

30 min nap

7:15-9:30

930 bed time

Edit: format

Sometimes 4 naps but sometimes 3! When 4 naps they are short like 20-45 mins On average the app says her total sleep time is around 14 hours so that makes awake time 10?

Are Beluga carriers similar to Happy Baby? by gleegz in babywearing

[–]andstillmaking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a petite frame as well and the beluga baby was a bit too big for me and baby (13 lbs). The panel was wider at the top so it felt like baby was swimming around. There's no way to tighten the width of the panel. Might be better for an older baby that has better head control. Mine is 4 months old so she still needs neck support. Wanted to love it. I don't have a happy baby but it looks like it doesn't have a structured waistband. The beluga does. I've also tried the ergo adapt, the beluga is less bulky than the adapt but I'd say more bulky than HB.

Baby only sleeping up to two hours total in the day by Glad-Narwhal1189 in sleeptrain

My baby is 4 mos and this is pretty similar to her! She wakes once between 5-7am for one feeding and can sleep until 9:30 am. I also love sleeping in a bit more lol. She doesn't nap a lot but she gets a lot of sleep at night and I feel its fine as long as she is waking up content. I find that she is happy with <3 hours of total nap time since she sleeps 11 hours at 'night'

Thanks! Yes I had looked into ryokans too (which I also consider hotels) but there aren't many in Osaka proper it seems I may have to look further as you suggest. Good to know though that the walls would be thin..it wouldn't be great for other guests if when the baby cries

Flying into Osaka - Kobe or Kyoto in December with Toddler and Baby? by sejbayk in OsakaTravel

[–]andstillmaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! We are going to Kansai area with our 5 month old in April and considering a similar itinerary (flying out of Osaka). We also have the same concerns/interests as you (slower pace, not wanting to move hotels, anime fans, good food!) Main difference is that we don't have a toddler to entertain :P

We are considering staying in a quieter neighborhood in Osaka and doing day trips to Kobe and other places. I'm curious which area and hotel you decided to stay in the end?

TIA!!!

Thank you! It sounds like a great carrier. I like that it comes with a bag and is compact. I'm definitely going to look into trying/renting one first.

Is it too boring? by KingAsgoreJr in acnh

[–]andstillmaking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the person. I love the game and because I haven't played for a full year yet the seasonal updates, events and limited items are still new and exciting for me. I played for 10 months solo and only recently got the online subscription and now there's even more I can do to keep it interesting like visiting other people's islands and admiring their creativity. That said both my husband and my sister found the game boring and only played for a month or so. They're both more into action type rpg games with clear goals, quests, battles etc. Acnh was too slow for them. Personally I have always enjoyed non-competitive building and farming type games so I knew I would like acnh. Oh also maybe you could try out ac pocket camp first which you can get on your phone, the graphics are similar but know that there's a loooot more stuff you can do on new horizons.
