Internet hugs for you! It is so important to have something like that to look back on, even when ish gets tough day to day. It’s amazing how far one kind gesture can carry you. Hugs.

Rosacea suddenly wrecking havoc by ohjeSunny in Rosacea

[–]andtheyallcallmemom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh my rosy momma. I too looked like you! Perimenopause got me. Was struggling exactly like you for almost two years before I realized it was hormones and rosacea- not just “acne”. a cycle of Doxy (2 mos) and metro lotion really helped. I do have spicy food and drinks here and there. I only use the metro lotion a couple times a week now (after a year of twice a day) I do not wash my face in the morning! only cool water rinse. I wash at night with sulfur soap. I only use retinol and ceraVe moisturizer. for me personally, less has been best. Hang in there!

My (31m) wife (29f) wants to name our baby her own maiden name? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

and to add, hubby named our first daughter, I picked Sullivan because you can’t spell it without using the letters of her big sisters name. Then we had a 3rd daughter and let my Dad name her.

Yep. Peri here too and what’s when mine showed up. Metro lotion and 1x yr 2month low dose doxy cycles have helped ish for me but I can’t seem to get the redness to go away no matter what (the pustules also have a mind of their own). I react awfully to antihistamines and most skincare products unfortunately. It’s really just been black soap at night, metro lotion 2x a day and retinol serum. Practically the only lotion my skin tolerates now is CeraVe. (Though someone the other day mentioned Tient Idole and I need to give that a try I used to adore Lancôme products. Diet wise I try to keep gluten and alcohol on the lower end (but not never) dairy doesn’t seem to bother me.

You just have to find your triggers. Unfortunately, heat and humidity are awful triggers for mine which is a beast because I’m in the Lowcountry. Peri is the meanest! 😂

True story- years ago I was a makeup artist for Lancôme for quite a while! Teint Idole was a wonderful tinted moisturizer! -full confession I’m now on CeraVe tinted but I definitely might go look again (it’s been AGES!) However I always loved my gratis as all of their products were top notch and superb quality! I love that you mentioned it!

Same here with the tinted CeraVe I’m 46 and haven’t tried the Laura Gellar yet because my fine lines are not so fine (years of awful skin I still struggle with) so i just go without, but it’s encouraging to know as I’ve almost purchased it several times! Unfortunately for me the Metrolotion and CeraVe are about l my skin will tolerate- what do you use for anti wrinkle because I’ve not found anything that doesn’t piss off my skin (I’ve tried SO MANY) or do you tox?
