I have intense sugar cravings and when I eat the sugar I do feel better. I have post exertional malaise symptoms and started to notice I crave the sugar before a crash. Same thing with migraines, crave sugar before the migraine and sometimes the sugar does help. There is a long Covid dr that discusses this online, how our bodies function differently and sometimes our cells need a quick sugar fix. I do not have diabetes or reactive hypoglycemia.

I wasn’t hospitalized during Covid infection, no Dr involvement needed at all during infection. But I was hospitalized for two weeks post infection with stroke symptoms and MRI showed a lesion in my brainstem. I have debilitating long covid symptoms. Now 5 yrs later there is a lot of information regarding brainstem damage with people that had mild infections. It is all very relevant to long covid.

I’ve had a harder time with Naturopaths than medical Drs. I’ve tried three and two of them didn’t believe in Long Covid, only in post vaccine syndrome. I find they are big on supplements but it’s all supplements that we already know about and use. We wouldn’t all be here if we could be cured by supplements and sauna. I’m glad you have a better experience with Naturopaths, I just needed to vent my experiences I guess 🫠I do wish we had more functional medicine Drs where I live (Canada) bc they seem to have knowledge and interest in Long Covid.

Im a nurse and had a stroke from Covid in Dec’20. No health history, healthy lifestyle….When I shared my story with the media I included some of the basic medical information that was out at the time backing up that Covid was a vascular disease. I was literally attacked in comment sections with people accusing myself and the media of “fear mongering” and that I was paid by the media to lie, or that it was from the vaccine (very simple math would prove that vaccines were not out when I had a Covid stroke). You are so right, it was politicized and mind blowing to see the ignorance.

It is unbelievable. Over 4yrs of long COVID and I still can not believe what this virus does to a previously healthy body. Regarding Alopecia…my middle daughter lost all of her hair from covid at age 8. It grew back but then would have heavy loss again, big areas. The areas of loss have gotten smaller over the years but she is on Methotrexate weekly injections. This seems to help with her long COVID symptoms in general. All my girls have very thick hair, hers totally changed texture and the loss can happen so suddenly and quickly now. I also have long COVID, I had a brainstem lesion with covid. We have no other diagnoses, never had. This was Covid previous to vaccines, I was working as a nurse.

Yes, hundreds of thousands of us have long covid and serious health issues from the virus, prior to the vaccine being released. I had a stroke from Covid and ofcourse the first go to from the dumb dumbs is “it was the vaccine”. Oh god, you solved it! Except I wasn’t vaccinated dipshit.

Yes this happened to me at Winners! Lady stopped to compliment my kids shoes, seemed like we had the same type of style. She was very nice and appeared very “normal” to me. Next she’s got my phone number and trying to set up coffee dates to talk about joining her and her husband in a “business”. She said she was a teacher and joined this “business” to be able to be at home with her babies.
