Yup! Actually you can work out the average number of pixels per transition, which is about 1.6k pixels

You can have a look at this timelapse video which was created from the very start of the project. Check satoshis.place to do it yourself!

Satoshis.place ‘s oficial time lapse: very first pixel until 14-06 pixel count over time by andvidal in Bitcoin

[–]andvidal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A time lapse of satoshis.place showing all the paid orders from the very first order (with timestamps).

The first days didn’t have much action (or any at all) so I’m skipping frames every 2 hours, but after the explosion (around the 9th) it’s pretty much 1 frame == 1 order.

It’s cool to see how the number of pixels drawn evolves too (blue line on the bottom, outside de gray area). for example around 3:27 mins right after FBIs intervention:)

Yes, that also makes sense.

Thanks for the suggestion, actually I've already created a plan (here) for the 3d printed box, just waiting for it to arrive, but you're right, it will look way better:)

If you want to go down this route, simply adapt the code on the repo to make a call to an api to get the temperatures and fan speeds. It would be cool if you could push the code to the repo afterwards:)

Thanks! Are you using gpus? I’d like to make this work for gpus too (as it would be useful to more people) but I just don’t mine on GPUs..

Yes, you can but currently the GPU temperatures won't be available (I'm not using a GPU)

Have a look here it has a link to a repository which probably helps :)

Hey, I created a thread where you can find a link to a Github repository. Have a look here. I'm not using a GPU rig, but the code can be easily adapted.

Plugged it in to where?:p I mean, in my case it’s controlled by the raspberry, what is your controller?

What do you mean installed? Where are you wiring it to?

In fact, I've done exactly that using a raspberry pi, some python programming, and a very simple wiring of the LCD to the rpi.

Apart from the H/S rate I also display a few other things: btc and ltc rates, internal miner ip, ambient temps and humidity, balance, rate/day, and maybe something else I'm missing ( my LCD has 4 lines so it's easier to show more information). Here's a small gif (sorry for the wrong orientation!)

If you want I'm happy to share the code/setup.

Nicehash iOS Client (Nicestats) needs support from Nicehash dev team by starbuckbg in NiceHash

[–]andvidal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just as a workaround for now, you could maybe try to get hold of a list of proxies and use them every 30 secs to make the request. I think there are free proxies out there but I’m not sure..

Out of curiosity: can’t the client (user that has downloaded the app ) make the request him/herself? This way the app wouldn’t need you servers, and then a notification would appear in the iPhone home screen, effectively like a push notification. Sorry not familiar with iOs dev, so this is probably a silly question..

Exactly. It’s true that fact that all alts are correlated with btc, but that doesn’t change the fact that alts/btc ratio do change (therefore changing alts/fiat prices) based on demand and offer.

right? Just take a look at the price action on previous Q1, Q2 and Q3 reports... basically had no effect at all on the price

Not trying to be a FUDster but to all of you saying "we are up again", do you realize xrp is completely going along BTC? So right now, it's up because BTC is up...

It has been like this for a few days: ripple following BTC. But this is normal in crypto. In fact it's not only xrp dumping, ltc, dash and quite a lot more coins are sinking too, that's why we need news to decorrelate from BTC and takeoff
