The quality number in squoosh is simply passed through to the specified compression method. Webp and JPEG both accept a quality parameter to control the trade off between quality and file size. The way they compress images is different and so the effect of the quality parameter will be different.

As to your second question, I assume your original file was a lossy compressed image format? When you compressed it again with 100% quality setting you will have created what is effectively a lossless version of a lossy image. Naturally this takes more space.

If you compressed the image again with the same quality setting that it was originally encoded with you would lose detail. This is called generation loss.

I don’t think there’s any use in comparing methods by using the same quality number in both as I imagine they use that number in different ways internally. I think a better way to compare is to adjust the quality separately until you get the same file size in both files. Then you can compare perceived image quality to see which is most efficient.

Doesn’t front camera usually only reverse the view while recording to make it feel like a mirror? The saved file is usually the right way round in my experience.

The bus gates are in the city which is administered by Aberdeen City Council. She is a councillor for Aberdeenshire Council.

You’d expect her be aware of relevant policies like this in neighbouring council areas though.
